My son has been attending West Bay for 5 years now. It is a phenomenal school! He learns so much there, and the teachers are some of the most caring people I have ever met. Im so sad this is his last year of school. The only downfall is that I wish the school went through the 12th grade. We are really going to miss the great experience we have had there as a family.

they don't give the children so much homework that they are doing work for 3 to 5 hours a night. usually it is 30 minuets of reading and a page or two of review of each subject for math and science/social studies and spelling words on weeks that are full weeks. Teachers understand that young children get burned out with too much work.

At the beginning of last year ( my daughters first year at West Bay) my child was barely on grade level from moving from school to school constantly sometimes in the middle of the year due to me being in the military. At the end of last year, (3rd grade) she was working at the 7th grade in Math, 5th grade in Science and Social Studies, and 8th grade in English and Reading. I can't thank the Teachers and Staff at West Bay for bringing out her potential and love for learning enough.

The staff and teachers at West Bay are strong but fair. They will give the children multiple chances to try to correct their behavior within the classroom before removing them and having to discipline them outside the class. This is only done as a last resort. The children all the he utmost respect for all their teachers and principal/assistant principal and this shows just how good the leadership in the school actually is.

The teachers take time to teach each child at their own level making individual plans for children who may be behind or ahead of the rest of the class.

I would have to say overall I am very happy with West Bay Elementary. I am blessed that we were able to find ourselves in such a good school zone when we moved to the area. My child has thrived since she has started here and I can't wait to see how far she grows this year and the next.

Since the school has re opened and my kids were rezoned to this school we have experienced nothing but disappointment and issues with this school. This school has a very unsafe environment and multiple teachers call the kids inappropriate names. The teachers are extremely lazy about doing their job and teaching the kids and the current principal is very unprofessional and never address any issues that are brought to him by parents.
