Both my children attend(ed) MLGES they've done a lot of improvement the last few years. The new principal is amazing! The teachers are wonderful! They all have excellent communication and that's huge for me!

Special Needs teachers are amazing and small group teachers do amazing jobs.

Could be better, but I’ve seen much worse. Teachers are the most effective in helping in this area.

They do not pile up on the homework, just enough to review in class material.

I LOVE the level of respect taught here. We’ve been to many other schools where there is so much disrespect. Also, this means less behavior problems.

I wouldn't recommend this school. There's other schools in the county that are better. We've only encountered 1 teacher in our 3 years there that was phenomenal and kept my child's interest and fully engaged in learning. The others made her not interested in school all that much.

Homework is sent home daily. It covers the class assignments that are done.

Some teachers are absolutely amazing but so far 2 out of 3 teachers we've had so far really didn't seem to have a positive effect on my child's eagerness to be actively engaged. After K, my child didn't want to go back to school. 1st grade was amazing with a positive engaging teacher. Now 2nd grade is a struggle once again. The teacher wants to constantly criticize my child's lack of focus yet doesn't want to find a way to help my child be successful.

I had to go to the principal on several occasions when my child was in K to inform them of the things the teacher was telling my child... who in turn came home telling me. For 1, criticizing my child's lunch (telling her she eats too much sweets... apparently fresh fruits are considered sweets) yet rewarding them in class with candy... candy I never feed my child!! My child was unhappy that whole year with the teacher and assistant teacher. That principal retired that year so I felt it went on deaf ears, but come to find out that teacher no longer teaches. Since then we had a new principal for almost 2 school years and now he's out and we have another interim principal. There's just no strong long standing principal to pave the way for the school.

There are programs available for children that need extra help but they don't seem to be as effective as they need to be. My child gets extra reading help, which I've seen a huge improvement but her progress reports tell another story.

This website really needs to update their information. Schools are constantly changing. This school may have been great in 2007-2009 sadly that is not the case six years later.

The student to teacher ratio is not 11.. My sons first grade class has 25 students. The security is extremely unacceptable. The whole school seems to be way out dated. I had lunch with my son and there were students up and running around the lunchroom with no personal addressing their behavior. At open house I spoke with the women working the front office and she proceeded to talk harshly about other parents to me. I am moving when my lease is up just so my son can go to a better school. It's to soon to tell if he is getting a good education yet, but with that type of teacher student ratio, it's not looking so good, I feel for the teachers. It is just to much for one person.
