As a 7th grade student who is currently attending Camden middle school, NO JOKE. there are always roaches somewhere in the school. one was hanging from the roof, and the teacher threw her shoe at it. in 6th grade. there was a-lot of baby cockroaches crawling out of a posterboard box. in 5th grade when I toured I saw a dead cockroach. the teachers are not very considerate. Most of them grad in-correctly. my friend had an experience of rats. the food is sickening and barley edible. the teachers are mostly unfair, unfiltered. no kidding sometimes we aren't even allowed to go pee. I am not even HALF done but I don't want to seem like I'm complaining.

Many students at this school are harrased daily, doing drugs in the bathrooms, or fully not getting the help they need. Teachers will have students literally being told their going to hell or getting called slurs right in front of them and not bat a eye. No one cares for the students at this school other than a small handful of teachers and a consular or two. But that's rare. Not to mention the special education they provide is horrid. Most people who work in that department leave the kids with others and go to do everything else but help those kids. Which get bullied by the other students for being who they are. The absolute levels of harassment and horrid treatment that goes on at this school has made some students have thoughts of suicide. If they are not popular, girls will be harrased for phone numbers and there bodies. If their a guy barely any damage with come their way because their male. The school is heavily sexist, racist, and homophobic. Kids regularly use racist stereotypes, use the n word, and or other slurs to bully others. And the school and teachers do nothing about. Not a single thing. Most let their students run wild in classrooms. Even smoking vapes in the classroom. No one cares at this school. They only care about a paycheck if staff or popularity if a student. No one enjoys going here.

Teachers and administrators are terrific. There are opportunities in sports, art, music, and activities for community service. Teachers and staff are caring and give more that 100% everyday. Great media center and technology in every classroom.

Terrible. If at all possible parents of middle schoolers should do what they can to send their children to St. Marys Middle, my oldest had the best experience there and my youngest is having the worst at Camden Middle.

I feel this way because I go there

Camden Middle School. My granddaughter, whom I am raising, is in the 7th grade there. I have always had a good responses from the staff and teachers at this school. We recently moved here at the end of the school year and she was anxious but felt right at home the first day she went there. I will need a little more time to really be able to say if there should be improvements but I feel that this school has the children's best interest and their education is the number one priority. I like that the school is within walking distance and that there are school police there to watch over the safety of the children and staff. Thank you to the teachers and staff of this school for giving my granddaughter the best education here at this school.

Bad- - It's very overcrowded, i have been there and at dismissal students are running down the hallways and you can barely get through the crowd of students trying to go home(hallways are packed) - No REAL A.P and gifted programs. I learn the same thing average and some things SPECIAL ED students are learning. - no extracurriculars- other than art, technology, PE, and band(which last 9 weeks except for band), students have no foriegn language, and in technology, you take turns using computers, PE teachers don't care if you don't play, and they don't actually let us play sports until after 20 min have passed of our 50 minute extracurriculars. - Science and Social Studies- You switch from Science to social studies every 9 weeks and vice versa. You forget some of what you learn. - Math, English, and science or social studies(whichever you are taking) last 2 HOURS EACH. which is more than what you need, considering we spend 30 minutes of that time doing nothing. This school was disappointing, and I will switch schools next year. my opinion: georgia standards are LOW....but some ga public schools are great, and sadly, this one isn't the students cuss and get into fights every other day
