The principal Janet cherry allowed a severe mouse infestation problem to happen and worsen throughout a 7+ year process. She lies to parents, lies to the courts, and fires and bullies any teacher who wants to fix the problem. She allowed one of her teachers to get Lyme disease. She allows students to learn in environments that are essentially poisonous. She doesnt care and doesnt want to fix it. She is also still the principal at this school even after settling in court. She should have been fired and never allowed back as a school official ever again.

I've had two children at West and it has been a fantastic experience for both of them. They are placed where they needed to be academically and have had phenomenal teachers. Counselor was helpful whenever we needed something. Both of my kids love going there.

My son is doing well there and has matured a lot in the time he has attended.

I am so pleased with West JHS. I love the uniform policy, I believe it helps alot with steering the focus more toward acedemics and sports. The teachers make sure to stay in touch and help when students grades start to slip or homework is not being turned in. I would definately recommend this school!!!!!
