Im a senior and I really love Gem Prep! Ive been able to complete nearly half of my college courses before even graduating high school. During my junior and senior years, I could choose to work online or take in-person classes at CWI and BSU, which has given me a real taste of college life and independence. The best part is being able to build my own schedule. I can balance work, school, and my extracurriculars (like piano) around what works best for me. If you want to get a huge head start on your future, you should definitely join this school. Its ambitious but manageable if you are focused on academics. My only regret is I should have started earlier than 7th grade because I would have even more college credits by now if I started at least in 6th grade.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with the way this school is run. The staff's behavior towards students is often unacceptable, with some teachers and administrators being openly dismissive and condescending. Students are belittled in front of their peers, which can be devastating for their self-esteem and the parents that voice concerns are often responded to with blatant gaslighting attempts. Even more concerning is the way some staff members threaten students, creating a culture of fear.

We are so incredibly thankful for the education our two boys are receiving at Gem Prep! The college prep atmosphere is truly exceptional. The teachers at Gem Prep are nothing short of amazingresponsive, thoughtful, and always open to feedback. They are highly engaged in their students education and go above and beyond to ensure a positive, supportive culture. Our children feel encouraged and valued every day, and it shows in their growth and enthusiasm for learning.
Having attended multiple public schools across different states, we can confidently say that the education at Gem Prep far surpasses anything we've experienced. The level of individualized attention, the academic rigor, and the genuine care the staff has for the students make all the difference. We couldnt be more grateful for the incredible support and commitment to our childrens success. Highly recommend!

We have really enjoyed the level of care for each students success at this school. The staff truly wants to help each scholar succeed and are committed to helping individual students succeed. Being a smaller school I feel helps students not fall through the cracks. My children have struggled academically and the teachers and administrators have really come alongside them to support them each year. Highly recommend checking this school out.

We started with the school when they were a start up. The orginal administration was phenomenal! When she moved on to open Gem Prep North, the school was shaken and never recovered. The current administrator was overwhelmed and it was apparent in every way. The teachers are overworked, even more so than a teacher at a relay public school. They have so much pressure from the higher ups that they can't do what they went to college to master - inspire young minds.
The younger grades are a little better off than the upper classmen. Overall, there is not a lot of joy in the school. My students have all moved to a different charter school and high school. There should be joy in learning.

Gem Prep Meridian, a K-12th grade school, has consistently exceeded my expectations. Over the short two years my child has attended my kid is now excelling in a few more subjects and already in upper level courses.
It is because the dedicated teachers foster a positive and engaging learning environment. For example, in her English class, the teacher consistently picks the book my kid will exploit. Not only does she dive into it, but she must on our next school break go to visit the house etc where the story took place. Ive also heard a recount of every short story this year! I love my kids new enthusiasm for English!!
The curriculum is well-rounded, ensuring students receive a holistic education, the opportunity to have a two year degree and the wherewithal to attend an Ivy League school if they choose to walk this path. They WILL get the support here if they seek it.
My child is also enthusiastic she gets to pick courses by herself that are not found at other schools. IDLA has courses in Psychology and Mythology to name a few and these are next grade level. Her confidence is exploding with the success shes earned.
The emphasis on individualized learning has greatly benefited my childs academic growth. An example is in the math classroom where consistency with Zearn and the resolve of the math teachers to make learning math easier by meeting the kid where theyre at! My child just MAP tested higher than ever before. Its testimony that GPM will elevate your kids world. Dont get me wrong, my kid had a hand in it and she said the teachers style of teaching math is better than ever before. (What kid says this stuff!?!!)
The schools commitment to parent involvement and open communication further enhances the overall experience. To give back to the teachers, I joined the PTO two years ago. I decided to step up after GPM stepped up for my kid a few times. Plus, the collaborative events run smoothly and are free for the students!! We have wonderful turn out at each event too. I lot of thought goes into these events for sure.
I highly recommend Gem Prep Meridian for its unwavering dedication to excellence in education. Five stars without a doubt!

I am a parent of 3 scholars at this school. I appreciate the time and effort teachers put into making learning individualized for each kid. My kids are thriving and had so much growth in the past several years. The work is challenging and scholars are held to high expectations. I have one child that is driven, he has been able to accelerate his studies in Math as well as take on overload classes to make room for more college classes as he advances in the secondary program. It is a true college prep school, students are challenged but that is exactly what I was looking for. I have another child that school is not as easy for, but thanks to her motivating and dedicated teachers she has experienced a big jump in the effort she puts forth. Her test results have improved massively because of that. This is an incredible school if you are looking for high quality education and a challenge for your child.

I am so proud to work at such an amazing school! The resources I am provided with have not only facilitated my growth as an educator but have also created an environment that fosters continuous improvement.
The culture here is truly exceptional, centered around teaching students how to become lifelong learners. This commitment is evident through the use of well-researched strategies that not only enhance the learning experience but also instill a passion for knowledge in our students.

My daughter attends Gem Prep Meridian and she absolutely loves this school. Her teacher does an exceptional job of engaging students in learning and teaching at a level that challenges them. Gem Prep also supports students that are advanced by moving them into more challenging courses to meet their needs. I appreciate that my daughter's teacher reached out and helped to facilitate this process so she can continue to grow academically. I have seen my daughter's love of learning continue to grow through her time at Gem Prep.

Gem Pre: Meridian teachers are all experts in their content areas and are incredibly passionate about their work. The administrative team has done an excellent job of promoting a positive school culture among staff and students alike, and work hard to ensure that the school remains a safe, welcoming environment to all. Students have access to curriculum that emphasizes not just theory, but putting those concepts into practice using real-world skills and scenarios. If students struggle with the content in school, they have the opportunity to seek out their teachers for additional support. The expectations of the school are high, but when a student is successful at Gem Prep: Meridian, it means that they're better equipped for the rigor of college, and the careers that they will have beyond that.

My children have attended this school since it opened. We have enjoyed the growth and development in the kids as well as the staff. The values taught are excellent. I always recommend this school as it is well rounded and a smaller community. For us it feels more like a private school setting than a public school. Highly recommended.

I wish I could talk to whomever is reading this in person because this short bio is not enough!!!! My kids came into the school not totally into getting great grades, and have since had a desire to try harder and learn better, and its all because of how involved the teachers are with their learning, and involving the parents with any troubles. The kids growth is a high priority for this school. And the counselor!!! She is so involved and available and helps with all the kids. The principal knows every scholars name, and regular parents, by heart. I love the morals of Gem Prep and the staff-you will be happy you switched to these schools!!!

I've had two children go to the school for years. These ones are supposed to be graduated he may see her but will not be. I've got one that's been there for3 years. My oldest children enjoyed the school up until the last 2 years. once they hit the junior year I could see their drive had gone down. initially the school when it was brand new when they started. Was great. the kids were very enthusiastic and happy to be there. then the principal moved and they got a new one..
I dealt with her on many occasions she was so crushing and also Ego crushing of my kids. she looked them up-and-down like they were garbage. Talked to them like they were trash had no respect, demanding respect for herself.
I found when they were struggling. The only time they reached out was when they had trouble. . then it was difficult to get ahold of any. One emails are just short. It's hard to have a discussion when your child is having problems. They don't really want to hear about anything honestly.
It's a back and forth cat mouse game until you finally get into a meeting when you have all of them at you at one time.
They let mine get to the point where they've lost everything. And now we have to redo the entire year.
I found that if you need to speak to anyone in the school in person. Or a meeting or on the phone. The principal and none of the staff is available. However, I have found that my youngest has had Exceptional teachers except for last year I found she was really lacking. almost every teacher. My youngest son has left. Only one is still there out of three grades. I see there's a lot of turnaround with the teachers which usually are young and don't easily stay and they leave.
The only real support person there is melissa brace who takes care of more than she should have to.
Everyone else seems to be sitting in their offices. Lounging playing on computer whatever they're doing. I'm told that they're busy when I can see from the parking lot that they are not.
The receptionists have been very understanding and they try their best. But they're overwhelmed . There has been a new receptionist.I'm very disappointed as to how the school has turned out what was something great in the beginning is really lacking In many ways. I would not recommend this school. I intend and removing all of my children from this particular location. This school allouts teachers and staff to lobby pride and l g b q tq. Pronouns and Liberalism. No support for Children with disabilities.

I have gone to this school throughout 6-8th grade, and it has been nothing but good to me! There is a friendly and welcoming environment, and they help you stay college ready. They focus on your future, which is nice for a school. The teachers are kind, and there aren't really any "bullies". Overall, I recommend this school.

The school is great! They care for their students by meeting when necessary and creating plans. While I have heard some complaints this is a school of choice, meaning you dont have to attend here. If you are looking for a school that will prepare you/your child for college, university, trade school, or anything else after high school this is the place!

I really don't like this school. You know that quote "Actions speak louder than words.", yes that one. Gem Prep does not meet with that quote. If you ask me to give the overall of this school with one word it would be things like, mediocre, moderate, common, unexciting. I think the school has good intentions, but the kids really don't seem to like it. I didn't see any Special Education so it must be average. The teachers nice, good intentions. I felt safe their in the building, but were the kids play is extremely, EXTREMELY not safe. Right next to a bank? What if it was robbed? I can tell that anyone could easily jump the fence and I might be wrong but I didn't see any supervision. I'm sure they have cameras, but how is that going to help when a child has been kidnapped of inured? I'd like to end off on a good note, the school's way and ideas of teaching are pretty cool, but would I want my kids to go their? No.
