There is a serious lack of communication between staff and parents. There is something wrong when the principal, vice principal and security guard are all absent from the school on the same days. Where is the leadership? Who is in charge? The superintendent is more concerned with making sure he continues to get money for the schools (where is it all going?) and protecting his horribley ignorant staff, guidance counselor, principal, etc, than helping students and their parents. There is a serious lack of respect, empathy, accountability and responsibility from principal, vice principal, guidance counselor and superintendent. The sad truth is, this school cannot be avoided because it's the only junior high school in town. Something needs to change.

They are more concerned with their school and staff not getting a bad reputation for allowing the bullying to happen.

We love this school. My children have been lucky enough to both have the same group of teachers. The approachable administration listens to their parents by adding different classes according to their education levels or even allowing the students to attend high school classes. The teachers care about their students. If you make an effort as a parent to be interested in your child's education you will have a great educational experience. The sports programs and the small town feel of knowing everyone is wonderful for a child to feel secure.
