Live close to this school and watch when the school closes for the day and see lots of people use the grounds for dog walking and do not pick up after their dogs excriment leading to unsanitary conditions. The school should have gates closed during off hours to prevent this. I have had many issues with my kids who are in kindergarten who have come home with pet to human illness that has required me to bring them to see the physician and required tapeworm medicine.

My children seem to be doing very well overall, on their report cards and their test scores. I feel the teachers could give parents more updates throughout the year, aside from the 2 mandatory parent teacher conferences, in regards to "what we can work more on at home" or areas that need more focus.

We have been in the special education program here for years with two students. We used all of the teachers and shocked and the bullying these teachers, namely one CM, yells, cusses, intimidates, takes recess away when they don’t understand, dont their work perfectly, ( of course these students won’t ) she yells and erases their work and tells them to start over.

This has been a MAJOR issue that both Teachers and the Principals, mainly the Vice Principal cast aside. This has been extremely frustrating! My child has had clothes ruined by bullies, constant threats, harassment, physical bullying, and MY child was to blame. They protect the bully. Extremely frustrating when, as a parent you constantly tell the school about these bully issues and they cast it aside and make your child ( The victim ) out to be the issue.

I have had my children at this school for K-6th. It now is not a “ Friendly “ school. Extremely pretentious students and parents.

PTO pushy about constant ways to make money. A lot of Bingo nights, Ect.

Across the field is the Jr High school, you will have a lot of issues with the Jr High students if your children walk home from school, and neither schools care to address this problem.

My children tell me that they do not feel safe at this school because the principal-vice principal are not affective in controlling the bully issue.

It seems like most grades do not have homework.

Posted: February 19, 2019

Most all teachers are slow at returning emails, or do not email back.

It is very cut and dry. If you struggle there is not much help. If you do not fit “ the mold “ you will be cast aside.

Major bully issues, and the principal and vice principal do not do anything about it. The protect the bully.

DISBELIEF:
I've had several kids go through Trail Wind Elementary School, and every year has been amazing UNTIL this year. While I believe the new principle has good intentions a pattern of confrontation has developed. Instead of deescalating situations, Beverly Boyd intensifies negative interactions instead of capitalizing on learning opportunities. I am generally a fan of teachers who work their way up the ranks into leadership positions, however NOT in this case.

This is the best school we've ever had our 5 daughters attend. I've read some of the reviews already posted here on this site and I'd like to say this school is not "snotty" I believe as long as you are apart of your child's education/school.... You'll be extremely satisfied with this school and have nothing but positive experiences at this great school. Mrs. Taylor (kindergarten teacher) is my absolute favorite and her heart is made of gold!!! Sarah

This school is small compared to what I grew up in. The teachers are excellent. The teacher to student ratio is great! Their ethics surpass most other schools. They continue to use playing and recess for social interaction learning! Thank you Trail Wind for being an amazing place for my children to get their education! Parents do need to get more involved, it seems the biggest complaint from teachers is the lack of parent interest.

Great School. My daughter is in 2nd Grade. She loves the school and the teachers.

The review below about how bad this school is, was NOT about Trailwind. I cannot delete it.

My youngest child will be attending 6th grade there this fall. My two older children attended, Trailwind, K-6. The teaching staff are absolutey amazing. There are some "politics," when it comes to certain, parents/situations, and this school definitely has a few 'clicky' parents. But, 90% of the parents are friendly, warm, and genuinely outstanding adults. The education and experience my children have recieved at this school, has been rewarding and positive.

My son goes here. Most parents that send their kids here are snotty and stuck up. They all seem to have their own little High School type click and wont let anybody in. I dont understand why, considering the area has a lot of smaller starter homes. LOL. But the PTO is amazing and the teachers are great. The principal seems like she is missing a few marbles though. The school supply list was the only one in the valley that wasn't in stores and online it was from 2010. She screws up on parent emails. But all in all I think it is a good school.

Great school, great teachers and great experience for the kids. My son went here and now my daughter is going. All grades have wonderful teachers who really care about the kids. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a great school experience for their kids.

I am not impressed with Trailwind elementary. It use to be a better school as I have had two children attend this school for 6 years it has changed adminstration and is declining. Beware parents this is a snotty, elite community and the sister middle school Les Bois is even worse.

Grandparents Day in Mrs. Thornsbery's room was an unforgettable exprience. She had the time so well organized, completely captivated students and grandparents the entire time. It so impressed me that left the School with the deepest wish that once again I could be a third grader and have her guiding me forward in truly great education. Most Respectfully, a Grandmother
