My daughter has never gone to a worse school. Her teachers gave her so much homework, I'd sometimes find her doing in until 1 am, when she started at 5 pm. Its crazy because they will give work to her that is only expected from high school students, but is given to middle schoolers. I wish this school nothing but the worse since thats what they wished for my daughter.

One of the biggest problems I encountered was the way some teachers treated their students. Instead of pulling someone aside to talk privately, theyd call out mistakes in front of the whole class, even when it was just an accident or anxiety-related. Ive had moments where I was anxious and messed up, and the teacher would point it out loudly and even make snide remarks. This happened more than once with different teachers. They also make jokes about students. I remember when some kids got caught using AI, and a teacher joked with other staff about how those students couldnt possibly write something well-written on their own and they exposed which students used AI to the whole class. They also told other classes. Whether they mean to humiliate students or not, it doesnt feel professional.
As someone who has attended other schools in Idaho and in other states, I would say the academics here are okay. Most of the textbooks were super old and falling apart. I spent way too much time just taping mine back together. And a lot of them werent even easy to understand. I ended up teaching myself most of the material. For example, in one class, we were assigned to read a chapter for homework, and then wed spend the whole next class just talking about that one chapter instead of learning something new. It felt like I couldve just stayed home and gotten more done. And most of the teachings felt like passive teaching. Most teachers dont offer test corrections unless a ton of people fail, and when that happens, they sometimes act like its our fault instead of helping us learn from it. Overall, I didnt feel like there was much support. I barely had time to study for the SAT because of homework.

I'm currently a student at this school but I won't say what grade I'm in. it's a good school overall with the chance to earn college credits but it does have it's own issues. One thing is that the teachers tend to play favorites like those who are in extracurricular activities or student government. Another thing is that students have classes over at the other school next door and it's a long walk with them often being late. And their phone policy is harsh because students will need to turn in the device to the office each day if they get caught with one (the principal loves when she catches students with them)

Apparently what's also required here for high school is that you need 100 hours of community and family service each year + internships + a speech at the end of the year which is part of their "charter". If a student does not meet these requirements they'll get expelled from the school. They don't offer much sports here but you can dual-enroll in some of them with the NSD.

Overall, it's a good school but it could use some improvements.

It is a great school and I have been going here since first grade. (currently a senior) The mission statement: To develop students who are competent, confident, productive and responsible young adults who possess the habits, skills and attitudes to succeed in high school and to be offered the invitation of a post-secondary education, satisfying employment, and life-long opportunities. and it has molded me in that way, however my critiques include: The teachers often play favorites. They have their select students that they are "friends" with and these students often get away with certain things that other students normally wouldn't, another issue is its devotion to sports over the safety and well-being of students (One of my friends was violated on a school bus by another student (I, her, and the offender were in 8th grade at the time) the offender was served no punishment, most likely due to his abilities in Track and Field) There are a few other glaring issues, such as an Admin at the school lying about being harassed (in a discussion about the dress code) by a Foreign exchange host parent, (despite witnesses present and saying it was a civil and normal conversation) leading to the student in question getting deported back to their country (my junior year) but nothing has directly affected me, personally. Over all it is a good school.

The administration is so wretched here, and they treat children like theyre just automatons who are required to do HOURS of homework after hours of school. My kids anxiety has been heightened and pushed to the brink. They arent allowed to have doctors appointments, counseling, or any appointments within school hours. There is a lack of social activities for teensno dances or clubs for kids, hardly any sports! They have track and volleyballwhich are mainly for girls. Weird that they would impose birthday party guidelines (forcing us to invite all children - boys and/or girls) in the class) and dictate to us parents how we choose to spend our own money with whom on our own private time! Their phone policy is unconscionable. Kids have to check in their device at the front office or theyre not allowed to attend school! And if the kid loses their device they are out of luck! They dont even have a nurse or counselor at this place. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Im not sure why we stayed there for as long as we did. Glad my kids are getting out!

Though I have been in this system for a while, I can say, students excel in academics, but get bullied by teachers. Elementary school is rough, them middle school is a battlefield since teachers LOVE to bully girls,immigrants, and colored students. High school is a lot better. Sexism is the biggest issue, only by the teachers though. The students are good for the most part, majority being friendly. However the bullies get defended by the teachers, which is a big issue. I have no idea where the money goes, but clearly not to improve the student's experience,buildings are scary, qnd equipment is old and breaks. Staff is meh, very few are just top notch in from Elementary to high school, and majority will pull you down and won't even notice. All and all, glad I left, if you are someone who doesn't care how you get treated and want good education, this is the place for you. But if environment and education matter, find a place a bit better.

The teachers are bullies and do not care about student health and wellness. There have been multiple cases of student being expelled for speaking out against the school for wrongful suspension or expulsion of themselves or others. They also have minimal to no support for students with academic issues or that need any form of extra help. They bullied my ADHD cousin out of the school by telling him he would amount to nothing and by providing him no support system. Upon being confronted by his parents, the administration proceeded to follow his sister around and watch her for a week to find any wrongdoings in her behavior (they admitted to this via email.)

This school is not what it looks like. Sure the learning is excelled and more advanced than other school but, this school offers such a horrible community for both the elementary-high school. From personal experience and observations the community you will put your child in is very toxic both the students and the admin are bullies to children no matter what age. They care more about spending money on their nice sports gyms than helping children with learning disabilities. Most of the children that come to this school with disabilities dont get the help they need whats so ever and ultimately end up being bullied out of the school by their own admin. Everyone is two faced and will say whatever they want about your child even the teachers. The teachers will also pick and choose favorites between kids. Mentally this school will drain you and your kid and I dont believe anyone should send their child here because they do not care about your childs mental health they just care for a good reputation on their school.

As far as the teachers your child may not get along with all of them, but my children have only had one teacher in 7 years that my wife and I have had any issues with. The current teachers are stern about completing and turning homework on time, but are willing to work with students about extensions as well as offering extra credit. Depending on the classes homework can be extensive. My childern's teachers have always told them if they need any help they just need to ask.
Leadership from the principal and vice principal is the problem. They can not relate to children. The principal constantly "jokes" with the children even if the children tells her to stop. Her "jokes" have fat shamed multi children and deamend the appreance of other. When comfronted about her "jokes" she claims the kids love them and are does not believe she is doing anything wrong. She is narsitist and needs to be fired. Dozens of families every year have issues with her and she has not changed her ways. "If the kids don't like how I treat them, they should just transfer schools then.", is her favorite quote. She has all the kids walking on egg shells in fear of her talking to them. The atmosphere at the school is horrible right now. The vice-pricipal and principal stand packed in their approach even when students, teachers and parents prove them wrong. They have threatened to expelled children with health concerns from the school even though there are multiple doctor's notes stating they should not go to school. Your biggest bully at the school is not the big kid or the mean girl. It is the principal.

My son has ADHD and the teachers encouraged other students to segregate and make fun of him. No compassion and even went to lengths to bully him. Yes teachers bullied him.

Over all worst school my children have ever attended. They sucesfully sent all my children (4 children) into depression, pawned all mistakes off on me. If you don't love your children send them to this school. They are quite obviously only looking for easy children to teach and keep the money rolling in. The playground is a joke. Only bare minimum effort put in. They do not promote individuality and force conformance. Want a sheep child? Send them to this school. Otherwise RUN! No love no compassion, and completely incompetent.

Both of my daughters attended and graduated. Their Liberty education prepared them extremely well for college - one has graduated; the other is in her junior year. Liberty not only prepared them to tackle college coursework (both took a year's worth of college concurrent credit in high -- something I wish Great Schools and other organizations would recognize and include for their college readiness as much, if not more so, than AP. ), but it also prepared them to think, reason, and communicate well (both in word and in speaking), so that writing papers, presenting their work to others and, especially, and working with others effectively were all in their wheelhouse. It's made college and their work life that much more fulfilling from the get-go.

for 12 years of being in school, i WOULD NOT recommend sending your child here. the work is extremely hard that it is like you are in college, everyone is required to make a 2-5 page essay of what you experienced in your high school year, the principal and the teachers are incredibly rude (as i walk through the halls, the principal has been calling out every parent that is in the school, calling them "marshmallows") and it is required for you to graduate if you do 48 hours of "community service" and "family service".

This is a great school with an old-school approach of education. This works so well for a lot of kids, however there is such a thing as learning differently. Liberty is spectacular for type A kids!!!!!

Students lose their place at this school only when they have a combination of 9 excused and unexcused absences. That is the attendance policy at this school which all parents know about because they sign a paper when their child is enrolled stating this policy. It's unfortunate, though, when a child loses their spot. I know the teachers, and everyone feels badly, including them, when this happens. It is a great school. My child went here and I was extremely pleased with the curriculum and the teachers.

I was very pleased with this school too up until today. A little kindergartener boy got kicked out of school today because he missed nine days of school. He has a medical condition and has been sick the past week. The doctor told him today that if his condition does not improve, he is going to have to be hospitalized. Where is the compassion and understanding? Not only were they not compassionate, they added insult to injury by kicking him out. I have become very displeased with this school
