Bullying is really bad and the school doesn't do anything about it. Kids are out of control

My son was homeschooled until this year when he transferred to West Junior High. I have nothing but good things to say about the school so far. He loves going to school every day, loves his teachers, has made some great friends and is having an overall positive experience. There ARE a LOT of fights, but they seem to be specific kids, and he says the teachers and monitors are on the fights right away. The teachers are really communicative and clearly dedicated to helping the kids succeed. I wish my junior high experience had been as great as his has been thus far, and I am so glad that his first traditional school experience has made such a great impression on him.

I currently go to West Junior High and I can say that the environment there has completely changed for the GOOD!!! Yes in the past years our school was known for LOTS of fights, but that wouldn't happen if parents would raise their children right!! The fights happened with the same kids and now that they are gone, where ever they went the fights are going to happen there!! So I just wanted to make that clear, you can't complain if you don't punish your children at home....we need the home support too(teachers cant use the paddle anymore, but if they did there wouldn't be as much trouble) The teachers are wonderful!! They really care about the students achieving, not just in school but in LIFE! That's a big thing here. We have competition between us and Central Junior High...YES! But if you ask me they have more problems than we do right now...since theyre bigger it covered up but oh do they have problems. You're going to find that in every school so don't judge a school by the problems....you have problems because of the STUDENTS! Last year I was in 6th grade and Abe Lincoln shares the cafe with West.I was honestly scared but there is nothing to be afraid of this is a good school!
