Disgusting. Horrible. Teachers teach wrong things, teachers are rude to students who get an answer, and worst of all, bullies dont get punished, but the kid who gets bullied gets punished for being scared to report it, even though the bully has got in fights, and the kid was scared of him.

Cya. 2/10 or 1/10, leaning towards 1/10 but slightly 2/10 cuz some are friendly. alright bye. (i made this short as im too lazy to rewrite everything i said in the essay i deleted accidentally.)

I put myself as current student although i was a past student only last school year. I would say when i moved to this school, they were definitely a lot smarter than i was. They teach a lot of things you can know about, and i came from Montana, so this was definitely good. If you are without disability, (i am) you dont encounter a lot of bullies. But if you do have a disability you do tend to get bullied, but, i dont know. I havent seen a lot with disability or with bullying. And i promise i wasnt one of the bulliers that did bully people with disability. I totally recommend but you dont really deal with much bullying (my opinion)

I have had three kids go through TMS. It has been a fantastic experience for all three of my kids. Each one has excelled as they moved on to Jr High, High School, and now one in college.

Our experience at TMS has been great. We transferred from a private school that was not supporting our son's needs, and the staff at TMS was so welcoming to us. We immediately met with a team of people there who listened to us and made sure they had a plan to support him. The Vice-principle and other staff have been responsive whenever we had questions. Our son tells us it's the best school he has ever been to.

Absolutely would NEVER recommend this school if you have a child who is different or requires special help or deals with bullying. There is so much bullying that goes on in this school and nothing is done until you go to the school board. The principal is a complete JOKE as far as helping students with learning disabilities. The teachers have absolutely no communication skills. Its a shame that Pontchartrain is so amazing and they go to this school after. I never thought Id say this, but we will never return to St Tammany parish schools.

Horrible. Ive experienced speaking with the Principal Stubbs and he did not care for the situation of the person I was also helping during the meeting. He was constantly looking at the computer.

There are no good public schools in this area or in the state in general. I feel bad for the parents who cannot afford to send their kids to a private institution. DO your research you can find financial aid, and cut on unnecessary things to provide a better education for your children!

They send homework every day and sometimes kids are still studying for the test and do homework for the following. Overworked.

Some are. I dont blame them. They work with very little resources.

Terrible principal. Do not let the 9/10 fool you. This school is under terrible leadership and the principal does not know how to speak to parents. Very understaffed. If you have a child that requires extra support, they will not get it. I definitely would not recommend TMS.

My son enjoyed his time at TMS. We did have one problem with one teacher but other than that, we had a good year.

I like the extra things like the clubs and talented art, but the teachers there are TERRIBLE. I was reprimanded for 10 MINUTES in front of the WHOLE CLASS. Plus having to freeze at recess when the bell rings is stupid. The teacher will give you a TIME OUT for being late, not standing still after the whistle, not bringing your book for class, and missing one question on homework. Tell the teachers to LOOSEN UP.

Tchefuncte Middle (TMS) is an amazing school. My child enrolled after previously attending a private school in Jefferson Parish. I've been impressed with TMS and am thrilled I got my child into such a positive environment for learning. After 3 years at TMS, my child is now moving on, but he loved TMS and the school exceeded expectations every year. Truly a great school.

This school is filled with bullies and has poor playground supervision. PE is dangerous with kids often getting serious injuries that could be avoided. To be fair some of the teachers are very good but the overcrowding makes it difficult. This school is in need of serious overhaul, which includes smaller class sizes and the hiring of more teachers in my opinion.

We have one daughter at TMS. This school is an amazing public school. Teachers are very involved, classes are a manageable size, and students are encouraged to do their best. I volunteer in the classroom and I have to say that there is only one factor that leads to a child failing in this school: Poor Parenting. While most kids have a great deal of support, a few in my daughter's classroom were in families that "left it to the school" and refused to help their child in any way. Even so, the school makes great efforts to aid every child. Wonderful activities, programs, band, etc.
