Ive substituted here quite a few times. My main job/ career has gotten busier so I havent been subbing as much now. However, I still am blown away by how welcoming this school is. The front office staff are always a joyful pleasure to speak to. The principal was also very kind and thankful. Every teacher Ive crossed paths with here have all been so welcoming, thankful, and high spirited. Ive never received so much appreciation and welcoming from any other school. Ive received so many texts and thank yous from teachers Ive substituted for, for just leaving them good, detailed sub notes. The students were also a pleasure to teach here. This school is a gem! I cant wait for my son to start here in 2027. The students here are supported by some wonderful, kind people.

Unfortunately, the general education teachers do not abide by IEPs for special education students. Additionally, teachers do not pay attention to what their students are doing in class and they abuse technology, and students are exposed to negative, unethical, and immoral content. If you are a person of faith, your child will be exposed to explicit material in the curriculum and illicit behavior of students. When visiting with administration depending on who you get they will address it with the teachers but the problem will keep cycling and it never irons out. If you have the opportunity to go to a private school or home school I would recommend it.

My daughter loves this school. They have so many programs to offer students. We love the music department.

My child went to this school for almost a year, and was bullied relentlessly. She had went from a happy, great student to a terrified depressed child whose grades continuously went down. Their idea to fix it for her were to change her classes to where she was just bullied by different people. She changed classes more than once, but it never ended. There's a reason they have anti-bullying signs every 5 feet in the hallways, but the teachers don't take it serious enough. If your child is unique, sweet, or a city kid, do not send them to the Madisonville school district. The education and activities are a positive quality in this school, but when your child is being beat down physically/emotionally, this doesn't benefit your child.

My daughter attended Madisonville Jr High School for 5 yrs. (grades 4-8) I will first say that this school is the best kept secret in St Tammany parish. She was in gifted classes and the teachers in the gifted program are all OUTSTANDING. (Especially Mrs. Laplace and Ms. Smith) The principal, Mr. Kern is so involved and such a great leader. If your child is interested in music, he/she will not get a better director than Mr. Messina. He is so talented and such an asset to the school. This is a wonderful school. My daughter could not have gotten a better education anywhere else.
