Andrew Jackson is a "No Place for Hate" school and educates the students on the dangers of bullying. We've had an incident of bullying and it was resolved within 24 hours, once the office was informed about the problem. However, the second incident was resolved within 24 hours. The administration is open to take to any student that feel they are being bullied and the person that is committing the act. However, I'd love to see a method, via phone, online, or another form, where students can report incidents of bullying.

Like any school, you'll have a majority of teachers that are effective at reaching students. Overall, I believe that a majority of teachers (that we have had the pleasure of coming into contact with) at Andrew Jackson are committed to being effective.

Children are given planners so that they can write their homework assignment in. Some teachers sign up for remind.com to send out text alerts about homework to parents and/or students that sign up. Homework can be found on the teacher profile page on the school's website. Some core courses offer tutoring before and after school and during lunch (depends on the teacher's availability). If a child does not complete a homework assignment, that are sent to the focus room during lunch (lunch detention) to complete the homework assignment.

My daughters are in their third year of school here and love it. This school has a motto of, "No place for hate". The administrative staff are friendly and will answer any questions/concerns you or your child may have. We never had a major issue with any teacher at the school. If parents had a choice of which school they child could attend; I'd recommend Andrew Jackson.

This school has a massive bullying problem that administration continues to ignore. Do not send your child here if you can help it. Too many kids at this school are not respectful of others and are not corrected. This place is a free for all.
