This school frequently engages in unreasonable practices and infringes upon students' basic freedoms. It treats students unfairly, specifically regarding the inconsistent confiscation of jackets. I observed one Asian student having their jacket confiscated while others did nota potential sign of discrimination. Even other students wearing hoodies were not penalized. The school denies students the freedom to use the restrooms at will, instead imposing time limits that make attending to personal needs highly inconvenient. Some students are even rushed to finish quickly and are not permitted to remain in the restroom for more than five minutes, regardless of their personal needs. In summary, this school exhibits signs of discrimination, acts unjustifiably, treats students unfairly, and disregards their personal freedoms.

honestly they need better n education people in the whole school new principal she does even do any as a principal shes never there when you need her in the office or at school the people in the front office communicate right never know. anything teachers are horrible also the PE teachers n the bus drivers just disrespectful.

I graduated from L.W. Higgins in 2008. Not only were the teachers mostly just babysitting us but my reading comprehension level actually went down from my 10 grade year to my 12th grade. The school was more concerned with keeping us in line by having a large disciplinarian staff and strict dress codes. Our school counselors did not give us counseling in fact some students could not graduate their senior years due to poor counseling. There were no tutoring programs and no art programs either. I was not prepared for university and struggled to form studying habits. The teachers did not like giving us work , but some did wonderful jobs , mostly the older teachers who had been at the school for awhile . We were already filled with Teach for America Teachers by this time and most of them were not prepared for the type of attitudes the children have. The school was underfunded . My senior year we had an assembly in the cafeteria for the juniors and seniors persuading us to drop out and work for the Domino Sugar plant. That if we dropped out that day we could make 30k a year which in their opinion was good for an 18 year old.

My school is a very safe school. The teachers are ready to teach, They are always looking out for the students. when I go to school i am ready to learn.
