This school is excellent! The staff are passionate about making sure students receive quality education. They make sure children learn about their own culture while learning about others. They celebrate all backgrounds and maje sure the child is growing academically but also learning to love and respect themselves.

My son attended the Benjamin Banneker from kindergarten until he graduated in 2014, the staff from the receptionist to the director were knowledgeable, kind and supportive. Their curriculum was excellent. Being there he had an opportunity to do things he would not normally done, like being a part of the adventure club, going skiing, hiking and their trip to Washington D.C. He thrived there, I wish the school went all the way to high school.

This is a very good school and my child loves it. I would recommend it to anyone. The building needs help but there is vision and hopefully, soon, there will be a new state of the art school built. I am an involved parent and attend the parent meetings and there is a lot of great information shared with parents! Check it out!
