This school used to be good but has severely fallen off. I don't know much about the middle or elementary schools, but I haven't heard great things. The high school is currently forcing awful, useless rules onto their students. Parents might not know, but as of October, the high school only has one bathroom open at any given time. They are also using the restrictive 'SmartPass' app to further control students. Since last year, they have claimed the new policies were implemented due to vaping that no one has be caught/punished for. We straight up don't have a principal or vice principal, and the teachers weren't allowed to disclose the former until a week later. This school is absolutely awful, and I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

As a student here I do not love this school because some punishments are not that good such as being blamed for some thing that you did not and doing some little. There are too many fights here.
The middle School is the worst of them all.
has the most fights and the 1% of the teachers.

Whatever else you read...STAY AWAY!

Simply a terrible school district. Whether your child is special needs or gifted, this district will not do better for you child than your local public school. In fact, FRCS will do much worse. The leadership is some of the worst possible. I pulled both of my children and now attend Attleboro public.

They go through teachers like toilet paper at this place and my kids told me they could not learn in their classes because things are crazy.

STAY AWAY. You think "charter" and "away from the city" will be better for your child but this is not the case. My son had like 5 math teachers in the same year. The younger grades were fine but as he got older it seemed each year got crazier there. I'd rather he just stay and go to the public school where I know there are structures and people want to work there.

Some teachers do nothing but sit at their desk while the students are reading a book and answering questions or peer editing a paper or writing a paper. Some teachers are great and interact with the students every day.

The poor behavior and disrespect is allowed and nothing is done about it at all. The poorly behaved kids are actually allowed and given privileges for their bad behavior. There are some amazing students who unfortunately get overlooked all the time.

Nothing is done about students being bullied. There's lot of talks about it being anti bullying area but it's far from the truth.

Awful, I would never work there or have my child go to that school ever. It was a great school at one point but unfortunately with the new administration it has become a very poorly run school.

A very strong CYA culture, where students with disabilities are restrained, isolated and humiliated for their differences. I saw this first hand with my own children, and have heard similar testimonies from other parents. If you plan to send your child here, pray he/she does not have a disability!

Special education here is in a very sad state. IEPs do not reflect what was discussed in meetings, teachers have little to no special education training, kids with disabilities are restrained, isolated, and punished for being different. Absolutely brutal place, my daughter had to go to a therapeutic day program before she could return to a general education setting. Fortunately, she is off the charts in intelligence and has long since recovered from her time at this school.

The teacher allowed our 7 year old daughter to stay in the 'reading area' throughout the day. She would regularly come home with 30 pages of classwork plus homework to complete. We would spend 2-3 hours every night teaching her the lessons and then completing the work

Teachers are not required to be licensed, and most have extremely limited understanding of special education.

This school has two systems in place: one for 'normal' kids and one for kids that are different. If your child has a disability or is inconvenient to the school, the administration seeks out opportunities to force the child out. My daughter was suspended the first week of Kindergarten, the first of many suspensions at this place.

Clearly, I did not have a good experience with FRCS. If you have a child who is different, or want to have a child who accepts children who are different then steer clear of this nightmare. FRCS has a pretty facility but an ugly approach to kids with disabilities!

I have been going to this school since I was in kindergarten, I am now a sophomore. this school is nothing but great and high achieving. we are challenged academically and socially, in a positive healthy way. most of the parents posting reviews on this are mentioning the iep and 504 programs. in my opinion, my honest opinion, I believe that these systems are wonderful for the students. they have special learning groups that get pulled out for standardized testing so that they can get the help they need. certain teachers are called upon for certain students to guide them through the school day and to have one on one time within the school classrooms and grounds.I honestly love this school and most of the people that left in grade 8 to go on to other high schools thought that if they left, they would get an easier work load and be challenged less. most of my friends that left for high school wish they hadn't had left. I am honored to have such great teachers and student body and to graduate from this school in two years. this school does nothing but make your child strive to be as good as they can and to prosper so that we are ready to go into college and into the real world.

Our school is amazing with their education programs. The teachers are outstanding with their compassion to excel their students. We transferred to the school and now in the 5 year of attending,we as parents love the school and our 8th and 10th grade students want to stay till their senior year.

I have been attending FRCS for several years so I will give my honest opinion about the school. I hate it very much. If u have heard about FRCS before, you probably heard about how so many of the seniors graduate and go onto college. Now, one must remember that FRCS is comprised of around 1000 students, from grades k-12. This means that the population of the grades 9-12 ( I would call it high school, but honestly, its the same as the middle school there, just different teachers and considerably less students since most of eighth graders there left when they were going to grade 9 because they hated the school so much) is very small compared to most high schools in America. The graduating class of FRCS is usually comprised of about 60 students. Yes, I said that right. They are around 60 students each year in the senior class. so when they say that so many of their students go college and whatnot, keep in mind that there are only 60 of them.

There is NO Special Education Director at this PUBLICLY Funded Charter School. Be very wary of this school. It is NOT all that it is cracked up to be. Many Children are at risk and are behind their peers if they transfer out. Don't believe what these administrators tell you-this school teaches at GRADE LEVEL according to the Mass Frameworks and they DO NOT support children that struggle or are behind. It may be a good fit for some-but it most certainly is not a choice above OUR local district.
