I got punched in the stomach and eye a few years ago and the nurses did NOTHING at all. Didnt call the teachers parents, didnt even give the student a correction, nothing. They barely do anything about the fights at this school, the test scores are below average, this school overall is a bust and none of the staff care or even check on the wellbeings of their students. Overall, dont register your child in this school

It was a great experience. My son had a wonderful teacher who would communicate with us very effectively. We attended a couple school events such as reading night and my son enjoyed that so much! Great school, great teachers, great experience : )

For a first grader, the lessons were very reasonably short, maybe taking 10 minutes. This seemed a good amount to get kids just into the habit of doing homework. It also was a nice platform for discussing what things my son was learning in school.

I really think the system they have in place to encourage good behavior is excellent. It was wonderful to hear my son beam with pride when he had been awarded Cougar Cash for listening well in music class, or following directions. It definitely encouraged him to continue to follow the rules and set an example for his classmates.

My son just completed 1st grade here. I was concerned about the transition from Montessori pre-school to public school, but everything was seamless. The teachers and staff are wonderful, they clearly care about the kids. The small class sizes were excellent for my son, he was challenged in areas he excelled at and provided extra support where he was struggling. The principal (new I believe 4 years ago) has done an amazing job of creating a great environment for teachers and students. I hope more parent's review Clopper Mill, I believe it has really improved from when i first moved into the area. I look forward to next year.

The experience at this school has been amazing. I have nothing bad to say. I wish the school could win an award for their hard work

Teachers at Clopper Mill are very committed!! They have been very accommodating to my kids- one with special needs and one who is gifted.

Kids should not have to be up all night doing homework . They should have few to do so hey can have time for after school activities

Students are recognized on a monthly basis for exemplary behavior. My son was super happy to show me his student of the month certificate.

CMES is a fantastic school with caring, hard-working, and dedicated teachers/staff. I am proud to say that my child attends this school!

I believe in Clopper Mill. The teachers at CMES truly care and go above and beyond for their students and the current administration is awesome. I am proud to be a teacher at CMES and would send my own child here without hesitation.

Agree with others. I would not use Clopper Mill. Go visit and you'll see why.

This school has failed miserably. I would not advise selecting this ES if at all possible.

The school is striving to become great. Once I became a parent of this school I knew I was misinformed. 1.All of the children are bad: My children are very respectful, caring, and morally rich. They have made friends with children that possess the same traits. Clearly all of the children cannot be bad. Any children that are misguided I don t worry about because what is learned at home translates to the classroom. I know my children will not be misled. 2.The kids are less educated: My children attended daycare with children from other elementary schools in the Germantown area. They learn on the same level, are just as prepared, and all of Montgomery County Schools are taught the same curriculum. 3.The families are low income: In reality a lot of the families in the area own businesses and work for very prestige companies. I believe this opinion has come from the fact a lot of students are minorities. Unfortunately, minority= low income to some people. 4.The leadership is horrible: I have personally interacted with the leaders in the school. I Can t speak for the past but it currently has great principals and staff. Schedule a meeting and get to know them for yourselves.

Excellent progress at this school over the past 3 years. I can now highly recommend Clopper Mill to anyone considering this as an option for their kids! This is one of the best in the county!

Clopper Mill is a top 100 school in the DC area for 2013! There is a reason that this school has been on the incline over the past two years! Excellent staff and academic programs! Clopper Mill may soon be a magnet school for the county!

This school needs a lot of work! It's just should not be called a school because it is a horrible learning environment
