As a parent of a minority child they must be strong minded to succeed in this school. The racism is real for all minority students they have no support from the staff or the board of education. The women in the office are openly racist with views and comments they are a lot worst then the males. They will not go the distance to help any of the minority students. They have all this expensive equipment that is going to waste because they are not given the students the knowledge to be successful.

They don't enforce that you do homework but do allow you to make up incomplete schoolwork at home. And they supply Laptops for ALL students to use.

Respect all students equally and help any and all students in need of it.

I went there and now I am a MSP Trooper, a volunteer fireman in Easton and St. Michaels. And my son is a member of NHS and helps younger disabled students at Easton Family YMCA.

Mr. Kirk Howie is one of the best principals in the State of Maryland and the best in Talbot County. They also have great guidance staff and a great team leadership style.

They have special classes for disabled students and students who have trouble learning. Teachers are also very lenient with students who need the extra help.

School administrators have a ZERO Tolerance policy for bullying. So do the SRO's including Deputy Timothy Connors (TCSO).

Easton High School is a great public school offering a variety of courses that students can take. One of the highlights of my years as a student there was being able to branch out and choose a career pathway. I chose the business career path and learned a great deal on the basics of formulating a business plan, marketing plan, accounting, basic business principles, etc. Great teachers as well!

Easton High School is an exceptional public school that is far and away qualitatively superior to the private school options nearby as well as the neighboring High Schools.
At Easton High the staff is student driven. Throughout my time at the school (00-04) I was encouraged to take AP classes and participate in their sports program. Both their regular and AP courses have high quality teachers and the various sports programs are diverse and well managed. Although I grumbled at the time, the teachers did a fantastic job of keeping each student engaged in their education. As an example, I was blocked from taking a free period because my guidance counselor and the principal both intervened to see that I take an additional AP course.
There's also a real focus and emphasis on college preparation. I went into College with 22 credits from AP courses and a familiarity with discussion classes, enabling me to smoothly transition to the academic setting of a university.
I can't speak to the present quality and condition of the school, but I would nonetheless recommend it based on my experience.

Mr. Grimm was the best. He taught the practical classes, and always said he was a fountain of useless knowledge.

Overall I had an average experience. My biggest issue was class scheduling. The guidence counselors were ineffective, and took no interest in what the students wanted. They recommended taking classes that would make the school look good, even if not in the best interest of the student.

Homework was assigned daily. Along with projects throughout the semesters. The teachers seemed to assign the bulk of the work for homework, and lecture the entire time in class. To me this is ineffective, because I learn best from working through problems with someone, not watching how they are to be done. It was difficult to play sports and complete all of my requirements.

There was a lot of ignorence in the student population. I attribute it to the eclectic mix of students from difference social and economic backgrounds.
