My daughter had a great experience at this school in both preschool and kindergarten. The teachers were great. When my daughter went to 1rst grade at MCPS the teacher asked. About her kindergarten because they said she was very well prepared.

This outstanding preschool provides a developmentally appropriate, highly enriching and motivating experience to young children and is a perfect place for a young child to grow and gain a solid learning foundation. The staff are very caring, competent, and knowledgable. This is a school that children love to come to every day. Parents are actively involved and build relationships with each other. GPP&K is the very best!

This has been the most wonderful learning experience for my daughter. I'm so glad she started at the three year old pre-school! The teachers are involved and attentive, the parents and fellow students are welcoming, and the new director is fantastic!

All my children have gone here. We absolutely love this school! The staff are compassionate and considerate. And sorry but I personally am glad they do not let sick children attend class. I would be upset if any of my kids came home sick because some other parent let their child come to school sick.

I have a degree in education from the University of Maryland. I have (per the degree's requirements) been to and observed a large amount of pre-schools in the area. My children won't go to any other school. I am incredibly picky when it comes to the education of my children, and let me tell you I have seen some pretty horrible things. The staff and teachers are so sweet with the children. I recently moved and was heartbroken to leave the school. I will now homeschool for preschool.

May sure your children are perfectly healthy, this school discriminate a child with a simple cough, they think your child will infect the whole school. They don't care what the doctor said. And you will ending paying a lot tuition for just 2 days a month during the winter. This is my second child, I never have this problem in the past with another center. Don't recommend this place at all and don't waste your money here. Addition the stuff are very rude. They threat you like the school is free.

Unprofessional and incompetent staff. Poor quality academic program and lack of training in teaching staff is a negative. However this is the cheapest school in the city or around.

I think the parent speaking of the kindergarten had issues with this wonderful school for her own reasons. Bad reviews like this taint a caring and strong school. Everyone else loves it at GPP&K.

My child graduated from Kindergarten last year ('12-'13). It's with regret and disappointment, that I have to say this is a preschool masquerading as a Kindergarten. It's a systemic failure and younger children will not be 1st grade ready. My child slipped through the cracks academically, and was not flagged. However, they do have a good art/music assistant and ample chances to volunteer via a sign up sheet. But, the administrators are highly prickly; indeed, they cut my child out of the Christmas party suggesting he was to sick to attend, despite having been checked out by a Pediatrician the day prior for flu and strep and not having a fever. They did let us drop off presents, as long as we stayed outside the building. Unfortunately, there were no African-American or Hispanic children in his class of 19. The teacher has a lot of love for children and is skilled; however, at $365 a month you get a part time teacher, a lack of customer service (standard response is it's in the Newsletter) and an academic program which doesn't have adequate systems in place for 1st grade readiness. The grade I give them is 51% bad, 49% good, and that's a D- for my child.

My child has been in this school for 3 years. I am so sad to know that she can't continue on for 1st grade. The staff is loving caring and have been there for years! I would recommend this school to everyone!
