As a student I do not feel safe in this school, and when having problems with other kids in this school, some teachers lack sympathy. Our school also has many unresolved issues that they say are “fixed” but really are not. Not to mention that we’re broke. I’ve looked at other FCPS schools and they were WAYY better than ours. Some might be smaller but they’re way more clean and organized.

As a parent, my daughter got an excellent education! She was more than prepared for High School when she left. Every middle school has fights. She always felt safe and supported. The county is trying to ruin it by the recent redistricting and adding 350 more kids from the other side of town. Admin works hard to make it a good school.

The overall experience is bad. Education is fine but of course, it can improve. Teachers are fine, but some don't put in effort to teach at all. The counselors try their best but there is only so much that they can do with all of the problems this school has. For special education, they are helped a lot however are basically just allowed to run free across the entire school, especially at recess, where they can do literally whatever they want and don't get disciplined for anything they do wrong. This school is unsafe, as there are fights almost everyday and there are people who record those fights to post on social media. The bathrooms are also almost always locked because of vandalization. The majority of students have barely any respect for the staff or property. The most family engagement this school has is when they make parents sign Syllabuses and permission slips.

this place sucks !!!!! one time there was a table broken at lunch n they didnt fix it all year. also what even is tee time?? its after 2nd period n before 3rd, it has sel lessons (that dont even work) on mondays and fridays, and it is a rotation of periods which would be fine IF IT WAS IN A NORMAL ORDER? they changed it at the start of term 2 and i dont even remember it bcuz its so dumb. and thats not even talking about the social climate, there were fights like every day last year, there were like 80 or sum in 7th grade in 2022. its REALLY bad. DO NOT SEND UR KID HERE.

Love the diversity (ethnic, cultural, racial). Many fights/posted publicly on social media, teachers breaking up fights. Progresses even more in our high schools. There ARE programs, groups and clubs and even athletics to join, but if they were more accessible for parents to see these opportunities for their children then more students would be involved in after school activities. Advertise outside of online/email.

Teachers are very helpful. Students need more homework in all classes. Lessons plans were very creative by teachers. The Field Trips were good and came with a competitive approach. The school climate was good and school spirit was seen throughout! The new administration was on top of all issues and held kids accountable for their actions.

The school is nice with great teachers but i agree there is too much fighting

The administration at this school does not care about the well being of its students. It is supposed to be a anti-bullying school that is just a joke. They work to protect the actual bullys and not the good children that receive good grades and get along with everyone. This school and the administration is the biggest joke!!!!!!
