This school was once a wonderful environment under Mrs. Praters leadership. She was approachable, listened to families, and took meaningful action when concerns were raised. Those qualities built a strong sense of trust and community that many families deeply valued.
There are still several teachers I hold in high regard. They are caring, live out their Christian values, and clearly love what they do. However, I have growing concerns regarding student safety and bullying, particularly in how these issues are currently handled.
While concerns may be acknowledged, they are not always addressed with the level of transparency, consistency, and honesty that parents should reasonably expect. At times, communication from administration has not fully aligned with the facts, raising serious concerns about trust and accountability.
Additionally, when families seek clarification or advocate for their children, responses can feel dismissive or defensive rather than collaborative. This makes it difficult for parents to feel confident that concerns are being handled appropriately and in good faith.
Most concerning is when childrens experiences appear minimized or not fully believed. Every student deserves to feel safe, heard, and protected. Students cannot properly focus or learn in an environment where they do not feel safe.
I share these concerns in the hope that they will lead to meaningful reflection, accountability, and improvement because every child deserves a safe and supportive school environment.

"I am very happy with the school. The balance between strong academics and Bible-based teachings is exactly what we were looking for. The staff is dedicated, and the quality of education has been excellent. I appreciate how they integrate spiritual growth alongside academic achievement. It's a well-rounded environment where my daughter is thriving both academically and personally."

My 2.5-year-old son was asked to leave this school after just three days. The teacher cited reasons such as him making noise and climbing during nap time, as well as stating, "I will not do that" during class hours. I'm left wondering about the expectations for a child of his age within such a short timeframe. It seems unreasonable to expect immediate adjustments from a child at this developmental stage.
I believe that a school should not only enforce strict rules but should also be a place of education and support for young children. Fortunately, my son has found a more nurturing and loving environment at another school where he is thriving. I'm now grateful that he was removed from the unprofessional and impatient atmosphere at FCS, even though the unexpected transition to find a new school was difficult for us.

My daughter has been attending this school for 2 years now, and she has had the best experience so far. We love their Christ centered approach. I know exactly what she is learning at school. Her teachers and staff have been wonderful so far. We love it!

My family wanted to schedule a tour of the school but before doing so, the person who picked up the phone asks multiple questions. This includes what church do you attend? Of course, I proceeded and answered every one of their questions. I tried setting up a tour and she proceeded to say that based on the church we attend we are not a "good fit" for their school. We attend a Christian Church. I assured her that our values and standards I'm sure are equally aligned with their school. I also told her she was discriminating my son based on the church we attend, and she continued to say that she understood, but they are "evangelical Christians". I am grateful that she discriminated us now rather than later. I would hate for my child to attend a school that would be judged upon the church that he attends. This is not to be negative about the school, I think this is a very important factor when choosing what school your child attends.

At first we were very content with the school. However after some time we became very disappointed with it. We came to find out that the teacher constantly yelled with the kids and was very impatient. We also learned the principal makes discrepancies between students as she has personal friendship with some of the parents. This directly reflects in the high level of bullying that goes on with no disciplinary actions to favored bully.
The school believes the class should be disciplined as a whole even when only one kid has a problem with miss-behaving. My son is a A student and still had a lot of trouble with this method of discipline. He constantly came home frustrated for losing play time because of someone else and because of that, on my sons last school report the teacher wrote that even though he was an A student he had a lot of problem with conflict resolution.
If you think the atmosphere of a class is not important, let me tell you this:
My son is now 2 months-in in a different school, his new teacher has already recommended him to start a gifted student program. He passed a highly gifted assessment test given by the county with a stellar grade. The note that was given to him besides him passing with a good grade was: advanced skills that include the ability to solve problems, to understand relationships and to reason by analogy.
Exactly the opposite of what the FCS teacher said about him.
Furthermore, we also came to find out none of the teachers have a higher degree which is kind of disappointing for a pricy private school.

Excellent experience. Worth the sacrifice of time and money to take my student to this place. Thank the Lord for it every day!

The homework is not just busy work; it has a point to it and consistently works to better the students' education.

Biblical principles are at the heart of what makes FCS great. Biblical principles are what even the world counts successful in a person.

The leadership sees the big picture - seeing the parents point of view, but weighing teachers and students and parents at the same time.

While there is no separate program for learning disabled students, I know there are a few students with IEPs in the school and they are progressing amazingly.

The school's attitude toward bullying is a no-nonsense view that takes care of the issue before it becomes an issue. Be kind and Christ-like. It's taught and modeled from day 1. Students are disciplined and trained; teachers are constantly aware of what is going on. Kids are kids, but bullying is nipped in the bud.
