The teacher and stuff is very nice at this school. My girl love going to school and her teacher, especially her home room teacher. Also thanks to the teachers for supporting my girl to make her learn better.

This is my child first year of Kindergarten at this school. She love going to school everyday. And thanks to her teacher being thoughtful and let me know my child need glasses and get an eye checked.

We have had such a positive experience at this school. From the very beginning, the staff has been incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. You can truly feel that they care about the students and families.
Our daughter has built so many meaningful friendships here. The school does a wonderful job fostering positive social interactions and creating an environment where kids feel included and supported. Weve seen her confidence grow socially and academically. She has made great progress in her learning, and we appreciate the encouragement and attention she receives.
The school itself is quaint and charming, which adds to its sense of community. It feels like a place where children are known, valued, and nurtured. Were very grateful to be part of this school community.

Aside from losing my child at the beginning of the school year two years in a row, my child was bullied every day. While resilience is an important skill to learn, no child should feel like they need to constantly defend themselves in a place where they should feel safe. Part of this is on the parents of the offending kids, but the teachers are the enforcers in the school environment. My son told me after I reported the bullying to his teacher, She sweetly told them that this was unacceptable behavior, the kids pretended to care, and then it just got worse. Their Kumbaya sessions dont work and are ineffective, and the school triggered my sons therapy.
Their educational development is also seriously lacking. My son dropped two reading levels and forgot basic arithmetic, which was clearly evident in a family game of Monopoly. Part of my decision to withdraw him was because I didnt want his supplemental homeschooling to be inaccurately reflected in the schools ratings.
Im a homeowner in the community, so initially, I didnt want to post to sustain my homes marketability. If I was of that mindset, there are probably several others in this new community, hesitant to hold them accountable as well. I gave them the good old Harvard try, and Im done with this school.

Great experience so far. Both my kiddos have enjoyed their school year so far. Teachers are very supportive and go above and beyond to make sure kids understand whats being taught. My younger daughters teacher has given up her lunch on multiple occasions because my daughter needed extra time to understand what was going on in math.

worst my child explained to me that the teachers didn't help what so ever she got bullied and teachers and staff wouldn't do anything about it

Worst. They are busy to defend teachers. Never care how their staff interact with students. The concern is often ignored.

I am so grateful that my son got all the education he needed at CES. All the teachers are very nice to the students and they will not leave them in their comfort zone but challenges will be given to grow further. Also happy with the selection of before and after school activities.

It is so great to see that the Clarksburg Cheetahs has increased its rating to an 8! That's awesome. I feel like that school has been rejuvenated. I'm so glad that Mr. Bencal is leading the charge. The staff is great and very supportive. Go team Cheetahs!

My daughter has special needs and receives services. As a result of these services my daughter continues to thrive. I'm so thankful to MCPS!

My son just transferred to this from a Howard County school and they were welcoming and communicated well with us in order for our relocation experience to be smooth. So far, my son loves his new teacher.

My children like this school very much. They are challenged by the new curriculum. The positive reinforcement with "cheetah paw" rewards keeps all the kids trying to do their best. The teachers are all good to great.

The greatschool rating of this school dropped from 9 to 6 in three years, indicating the students did not perform well in the state tests. However, as a parent I did not hear anything (e.g., explanation, improvement plan) from the leadership. Consequently I doubt whether the principle really cares. Ms. Lee, do you have plan to do something AT ALL?

In this school everyone is friendly the teachers make learning fun! This school also is very small so it's better and easier for students to make friends and learn.
