I went to this school for a few years after it opened and it was okay back then. However, I went back during my Highschool years. Everything had changed, it went downhill more and more every year. If you went to a teacher to report SA or bullying they would tell you that it meant that person liked you. There was obvious favoritism to people who were rich and popular. You will notice on their website that most of the pictures are of the same people. Also, they claim to be Christian but if you do not agree with their views you will be told you are going to hell. They allow teachers to bully each other too. This school did not prepare me for anything I had to deal with as an adult. If you weren't in the honor classes you were practically invisible when it came to learning anything, basically your education wasn't important to them unless you were in honor classes. They are sexist as well they teach that women are inferior to men because "The Bible said so." This school put me through mental harm and I do not recommend you work or send your kids here. Unless you want to bully everyone to make it. Or be forced to leave because of lies made up about you. Also if you are not an athlete you are invisible to everyone even the teachers.

My time at Russell (5 years) can only be described as the lowest point of my life.
The "education" I received was not sufficient. While I know RCA is christian, every single subject was only about God. For example, the science classes were not actually normal science classes. It was a whole textbook on other scientific word views and why they are wrong. When I did transfer to a public school, my knowledge in simple things was lacking. The children that come out of Russell lack critical thinking skills. Russell has also had a huge problem with SA. In the past, lgbtq students have been kicked out. I will say, I did have some very good teachers at this school. But they have all since left. Don't send send your children here. This school is FAR from christian and has more scandal than any other school I know of.

Great School! This is made possible by their friendly, dedicated and professional staff and faculty. We moved here from the West Coast and initially enrolled them in a local public school in western Meridian and after a few months realized that was not going to work. Since joining RCA our children's academic progress has improved 10 fold. While our 14 year old and 7 year old each have their own strengths and interests RCA is consistent in targeting those areas that they each need improvement in while encouraging them to continue to excel in their areas of strength.

My time here was miserable. Everyone here is fake (including the faulty). They do nothing to stop bullying, racism, sexism, etc. in fact some of them encourage it. They constantly degrade students and treat them like children. The curriculum is another story. With some exceptions, it’s just bad. The history and science in particular. It’s just brain washing creationism nonsense, that’s simply false and doesn’t teach students to think critically. History is often skewed, hidden, or just plainly lied about (ex. the civil war was not about slavery, slavery was good because african Americans got saved etc.). Oh and don’t go here if you’re anything but Southern Baptist because if you’re anything else (Catholic for instance) you will get bullied and preached to by the faulty.

No! Special treatment from the teachers for the children of other teachers and coaches. Also, teachers at RCA arbitrarily give rewards that are not based on GPA or performance. Kids get special treatment, even scholarships, that are not earned. Wealthy parents are allowed to buy good grades and scholarships.

Simply awful! First, the curriculum is not academically up to par. Watching Christian movies and only being allowed to read very simplistic, juvenile Christian literature in no way prepares students for the challenges they'll face at university. Personally, I would have preferred classroom settings that encouraged my granddaughters to be anything they wanted to be, as long as they were willing to work for it. That did not happen at RCA.

This school does not deserve a high rating!! My child was treated very poorly during the enrollment process. I know other applicants personally who were treated way better!! Children should not be judged based on parents ethic backgrounds!!

Best Dyslexia program in the area. Teacher to student ratio is very good. Sports are exceeding. This is a newer academy opened only with last 10 years. Wonderful Christian school for kids and parents.
