This is so stupid. This school is literally so bad because it just so strict, all staff needs retraining. The gymnasium teachers are so mean. They bully, threaten kids. They called a fat kid big boy and that isn’t nice. Gulfport Central Middle School is one of the worst schools on the Gulfport School District. I believe that Bayou View is way better than GCMS. GCMS doesn’t have a good emotional hotline to talk about anything. Ms. Thompson is the secondary principal and she just cuts off kids and don’t let them say anything. She doesn’t believe anything that kids says. She only believe the trouble makers and the kids that bully other students about race, facial looks, and what they have and don’t have. This school provides nothing at all and this is not right. GCMS is bad and I want to show it to others. The band directors are really rude, the art teacher lowers your grades if she doesn’t like you, they have real harsh punishments and teachers or admins don’t do anything if a kid gets bullied. This shows how GCMS is one of the schools that I don’t recommend attending for your child. Surly this provides great education for students but the administrations and teachers are really strict. They don’t care if one is getting bullied or something. They wouldn’t care if students skip electives and they don’t do Jack. This is sure a rule, strict, non caring, and a bullying school. If you attend GCMS you may know the bullying and fights that happen very often. The slap boxing and the name calling isn’t it. We need this school to have some great authority and report right away if someone is getting their feelings hurt. This school really needs some retraining. I’m sorry to say this but the administration and the teachers at Gulfport Central Middle School needs to learn a thing or two about handling a bully or fight situation.

They need to shut Gulfport Central Middle School down. If I could give this school NO stars I would, but I can't.

Absolutely horrific. Bullying and racism are huge problems at this school. We moved out of the area because it is so bad there. Pay attention to the dates on the 'positive' reviews. That school is a joke.

As a previous employee of Central - I would never work there again. The academics are horrible - I have never seen so many children repeating grades in my life! Ugh. GPISD needs help. Stop teaching kids how to pass tests and start TEACHING them!

Great school great school I think that's a Jametta school is the best school and the most intelligent school that I have been to I have been went to Central is going great school great great students grade teachers great grades I had him it was not whored for specialty it's that didn't get more talk to them that it was actually more easier then him you know smart kids because they were taught right in taught in a nice manner that they love you know you know they got a head like to stuff like that The one thing I have to tell you about sent you guys the best grades behavior intelligence school I swear to loss my heart and hope to dad this school is amazing I love it I love it I love it and I repeat I had this school please go to the school you'll make it a most academics person in the world! This is an excellent school with a great atheletic program. most of the teachers strive to make all the students successful and productive members of society. i have been her 3 years and it is by far oneof the best schools i have attended.

Gulfport Central Middle School is awesome. Some of the teachers take the time to think about us, the students, before they make decissions. The administrators, teachers, and staff strive to make the school more exciting. The atheletic department is awesome and the clubs at Central are outstanding. In my opinion, Central is very COPACETIC. As Dr.Battle says every morning,"Average is officially OVER!!"

This school is located outside the Sea Bee base and frequently has military personnel from the base volunteering in the school, which is a welcome sight. It is always nice to see our men in uniform giving back to the community and setting an example for the local students.The faculty and administration here work very closely with the parents to ensure that the students are provided with a first-class, quality, 21st century education that will stand them in good stead no matter what choice they make for their educational career; and those discussions are taking place in their 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classrooms. This is definitely an education for tomorrow!

Im an employee for the Gulfport School District and I believe this school district is awesome! The Child Nutrition program offers great food and the parents are able to pay for the students lunch on the Child Nutrition Website!

I do not teach at GCMS but I know that the teachers/staff there care deeply about their students and strive everyday to make the best of every situation they are given. They put in long hours to make sure they are giving their all to the students at the school.

My 3 sons attended GCMS and had a remarkable experience. Middle school can be quite difficult, but this school was attention e to their needs. Upon entering high school in honors classes my boys maintained excellence. The two who have graduated have entered the University of South Alabama in academic scholarships totaling $60,000.00 plus. Thanks GCMS-they are making you proud. cje

Outstanding teachers, trremendous administration, and great students. A topnotch place to educate your child. Outstanding electives such as band, choir, and strings. Fine Arts Deparment is second to none. Science Department seems to be the strongest staff, but all teachers are doing a great job.

This school is truly awful. I have 2 children enrolled here and it has been never ending problems. Racism and bullying are rampant problems and ignored when brought to someones attention. We are moving just to get our children out of this school. It's that bad.
