I had a issue with another student and they did nothing about it it was so bad that he should have been charged with SA but all they did was say he has a ruff home also said boys will be boys.

I've been in St. Martin High School my entire life. Last year i had issues with another student and they did absolutely nothing about it. Me and multiple students have cried in that office over the same situation because it was the SAME student and it got to a point where a police report was filed on the student. But yet even after that, nobody did ANYTHING but feel remorse for me and them. The dress codes are expensive for absolutely no reason. When my first year came around I was excited until i actually got in there and we had break, all the same lunches, etc. But Holland took that away with no good reason. They told a friend of mine yesterday that she was too young and she wouldn't ever basically be able to chase her dreams but yet she's working more than they do and doing more than they ever did. I don't recommend sending your kid here at all, your child will absolutely dread it the entire time. The only time they care about their students is when senior year comes so they can get them out of school as quick as possible. I haven't seen but maybe a HANDFUL of kids who graduated the past four years of me being here actually become successful. Most of them ended up in jail or prison, or they do drugs, or they can't keep a job. All because the school couldn't control their students and teach them how to do good. Instead the school shows you how to absolutely hate yourself and be miserable after you graduate.

With Holland as our principle, the school feels more melancholy. She keeps preaching about how many privileges us students have, yet she keeps taking stuff away from us. Two years ago, we had break time everyday, but now, that moment of relaxation has been stripped away because several people are always late to school. We're also mostly not allowed to use phones or the Wi-Fi anymore because some folks play around on the Web during lessons. What about the innocent people who finish their work & don't bother anyone? They too are punished. Granted, we can still use phones in the library, courtyard, & cafeteria; however, I wouldn't be surprised if we couldn't do that in the future. Holland also says that she tries to treat us like high schoolers, which obviously isn't true when our freedom is starting to rival that of a kindergarten class. Last year, she bragged about how her rules were drastically keeping our Corona cases down; false, people were always very close to each other, so of course, no rules could truly keep us safe. She bothered telling us not to eat processed food, but literally, all of the food is heavily processed. Not to mention, the pizza almost looks raw, the burgers taste decades old, the fries taste like nothing, the condiments mainly consist of water, the juice isn't organic at all, & the food is usually stale. Holland only cares about looking good, never actually helping us. If she really can't do much, that's fine. Though, she should take responsibility & admit her limits instead of acting like a saint. Some of the teachers here will brighten up your day, but the rest either don't care about their job or are bad at teaching yet still pat themselves on the back. Bullying is a minor issue here since most of the students are polite, but you'll find some people who'll bother you a bit for no reason. Overall, this school is bad.

This is a mixed bag. Some teachers are very good but others try too hard to be liked by the students. There is a lack of respect between some students and teachers that is allowed to propagate.

Unless you are in Honors classes, homework is a joke that can be accomplished during school or there simply isn't any.

The administrators at St. Martin High School and long time residents like to think that the school is on par with Ocean Springs High School... the simple fact is that it is not. The school is not terrible but new people to the area can do better. Military families moving to the area would be best served living in Ocean Springs School District regardless of what realtors tell you.

I have been attending St Martin for 11 years and as I continue to attend this school, I find another reason to loathe it. The uniform situation may not seem like a big issue; however, the strict reinforcement of the dress code has caused me to spend more money than needed to appease St. Martin. This school also shows double standards to those who are popular or academically achieving. Although the test scores are high at this school, St Martin doesn't care about helping students who may have difficult learning; they ONLY care about test scores. The majority of the teachers talk down to the students and show them very little respect. My experience with the school has made me stressed out beyond belief and I hope that this school makes serious changes in the future.

I don't understand why people are so 'mad' or 'upset' about uniforms! YOU PARENTS ARE A JOKE! SERIOUSLY???? IS A GOOD Thing the school has uniforms, that way NO ONE from OUTSIDE can just walk in as if they are one of them! I wish ALL SCHOOLS DO ENFORCE UNIFORMS!!!
