Since my daughter has been going to this school seems that the teachers do no teaching and all the learning they are getting is from home !!!! It's like it's a daycare more than anything else no interaction from the teacher to students here..... longbeach is supposed to have the best schools ,,, sorry I do not see it one bit...2023

I have 2 very challenging children and the school goes above and beyond to make sure they have every resource available to be successful.

I can't say enough great things about Quarles. We're about to start our third year there, with my oldest in 2nd and my youngest starting Kindergarten. The teachers have always been helpful and have really gone to bat to help my son with his reading fluency (ie. one-on-one help in class, free after-school and summer tutoring). The school is clean, bright and all the teachers, students and administrators have a positive energy about them that I never had in my elementary school. We have a new principal that just started, and she has not only been proactive when I've needed help with something, I've never seen her without a smile. Not only does she take the time out to get to know the children, she encourages them at every turn. I've spoken to teachers and parents alike, and all are excited about having her head our school. I know that with her heading Quarles, the school will only get better.

This school is filthy and poorly managed. I have seen roaches there on three occasions, and my child has complained of having to kill bugs in the bathrooms because other kids are scared. I don't understand all the 5-star ratings. I guess in Mississippi the standards of education are so low that this school is considered decent. My child has had 3 teachers in one year at this school. The first one was fired, the second one left and we were never told why; In fact, the school didn't bother to inform parents either time until the new teacher was already in place. They do not communicate with parents at all. We often receive notes for events the day before they are held, leaving little time to plan for materials. I could not be less impressed with this school.

2 of my children attended this school and we LOVE it!!! I loved their teachers and staff!!! We had a horrible Kindergarten experience with my oldest child at his old school and with my second child at Quarles he had a Wonderful experience!!!! We're really going to miss this school!! Also, the Discovery Program is Awesome!!!
