My student and I LOVED this school from 2022-2024. Then in 2025 they made the worst decision to change platforms, modify expecations, and roll out the changes to the new families the week of school! Top it all off, a new teacher to the school is my child's lead teacher, so she seemed overwhelmed and incompetent. I am sure she meant well, but at the expense of my student's learning...just not acceptable. Changes to the number of classes (Imagine going from 2-3 per week/per day to 4-5 per week/per day). As a parent who planned out the first quarter already and was juggling schedules with a preschooler --it turned into a complete disaster! His first quarter PE ---yes PE he failed! My student who plays sports year around, stays outside all day everyday has an F in Physical Education because of all the changes THIS one fell through the cracks for us and the new teacher just didnt understand how my student didn't know what he needed to do! So, not one notification that he was failing, not one outreach to flag us that every week was at a 0. Every year he has been at the school he has been a straight A student. So, none of the counselors, teachers, staff thought hmm...this F doesn't make sense, let's reach out to him (his parent) someone ANYONE to confirm this is accurate. Nothing, crickets. Now all I keep hearing is, the grades are locked and there is nothing that can be done. Because of these adults inability to plan and roll out a massive change for K-12th graders my student's academic record is now impacted for the long haul. I recommend you look elsewhere. Teachers, administration, Board members, and staff do NOT have students in mind! Homeschool or look for an alternative virtual program.
