This was my childrens second year at FCA. The first year was a learning curve, but my kids power through and seemed to like FCA.This year for my oldest who was in third grade really struggled with bullying and a unresponsive teacher. Ultimately we decided to withdraw her and do homeschooling. Please do research on this private school before enrollment. Remember just because it is a private school does mean it my be the best place for your child to develop and grow. Hopefully the school will read these reviews and make the necessary adjustments.

This school once showed great promise, but in my experience it has gone downhill due to poor leadership and a lack of accountability. Serious concerns about staff behavior have been raised repeatedly by families over the years, yet nothing meaningful has been done. It feels as though certain individuals are protected regardless of the impact on students.

As a parent, I was especially disturbed by mandatory events that did not respect family values or give parents a choice in how sensitive topics are presented to their children. This disregard for parental input is unacceptable and left us questioning the schools priorities.

Even more concerning, students particularly female students have shared experiences that left them uncomfortable, and these concerns were not handled with the seriousness they deserve. In my view, this creates an unsafe and unhealthy environment.

I strongly caution parents to do their research and carefully consider whether this is the right place for their children. What looks good on the outside does not reflect what families actually experience once inside.

Poor experience once the school year began. Ended up unenrolling all 3 of my kids due to oldest being bullied relentlessly even after Dean and head of school got involved. Bullying got worse and was told that this is unfortunately how middle schoolers are the bullying policy is not followed. My preschooler is autistic (level 1) and informed the pre k director of child being tested for an official diagnosis. Once school year began I was called nearly everyday to go pick up my child due to no aid being available to help the teacher in the class. They operate on daycare standards of 20:1 but I was told that there would be an aid in each pre k classroom. NC pre k standards is 10:1 with a maximum of 20 per class with a lead teacher AND aid. Director would not listen to my concerns, was unwilling to help my child adjust if it meant deviating slightly from the typical routine, and told me that my child had a behavioral problem and that she saw no autism. I pulled my child out before the official testing results came back. I dont think this school is equipped to educate a 5 year old with such a high IQ anyway. The only person who listened to my concerns was the director of admissions, shes a true Christian with a kind heart and gentle soul. My oldest now attends LCA with amazing teachers. My other two attend public school with teachers who challenge my youngest and can truly see positive change in negative behaviors, has a love for school, and a love for the teachers.

This school does not help children with learning disabilities, there is a lot of bullying that is not handled, and minus a few amazing teachers, the staff is rude. They claim to be a Christian school with Christian values but they care more about making money. Many parents have complained this year and are looking to switch their children to another Christian school.

I like at least 2 of the teachers there but I dont like the education. If you want a school like this with good education, go to Fayetteville Christian.

My grandchildren got sick while attending FCA. After many test the doctors found that they had high levels of toxic mold in their bodies. The mold they have comes from water damaged or leaking buildings. The school leaked the whole time they were attending the school.

Parents thought this would be different from other schools in a good way. Nope. Just as bad and nasty as any public school. Just save your money because its not worth it

By the end of the 2014-2015 school year, I will have attended Freedom for 5 years. I have talked to many of my classmates about their opinions of the school, and they have all had the same answer: the academics are challenging. Being a National Honors Society member, whom also is enlisted in all honors classes, I have experienced this first hand. In public school, there was no real struggle in earning an "A" in every class. At Freedom, however, I am being pushed harder than ever before, and it is more than rewarding. Finally, as a message to the parent who gave the school only one star, I will end with this: Yes, Mrs. Dayton tends to seem harsh, but she implies such penalties in order to strengthen the child. Sometimes, I look out of the classroom door and see a line of elementary or pre-school children giggle out of happiness when they see her. She stops for each one of them and gives them a hug. When I see their faces, there is no hint of fear from any of them, only joy. I know that not all children are the same, and not all children can handle certain punishments, but it is only meant to help your child grow. If your child stayed at Freedom, you might learn some simple grammar.

This is the best school I have ever gone to or worked at. The principal and all the staff show love to everyone. The curriculum is challenging and the class sizes are small so there can be deeper relationships between the students and teachers. I got offered jobs at 3 other schools, but Freedom was the best!

I am only giving this school a star solely because the elementary teacher that my child has is absolutely amazing. However that is where it stops. The school staff gossip and starts more chaos then the high school girls. The head of school Joan Dayton is a dictator that has no problem saying the wrong things out of her mouth but has a huge problem apologizing and making sure your child is not tore down by her out of the way comments and gossiping about matters that are beyond's a child scope. The reason why a parent enters there child into private school is to try to take some control of there education and ensure their child is receiving quality education. At Freedom you are getting a older Head of school that believes due to her experience she knows your child that get summed up with where there economic status is. I want my children to be in a well rounded academic environment that is lead by the studies and belief in God. At Freedom my child received the opposite that led her/him further from God. Freedom may work for you and your family but it is important to hear how it almost destroyed my family.

My daughter has attended Freedom Christian Academy for 5 years now and we have been beyond pleased with the education she has received thus far. Each year she is able to grow in her spiritual walk as well as her educational journey, and I am so happy to be able to send her to a school where her Dad and I do not have to worry about her safety while she is there. Freedom teaches the core principles of education, and also provides an in-depth education of The Holy Bible. I love Freedom Christian Academy and I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that in the years to come, my daughter's life will become even more enriched with the education and spiritual walk she will receive there. Knowing that my child is loved and valued by her teacher, as well as other faculty members makes my heart swell, and I want to encourage readers of this review to make this school their first choice when considering Christian education in Fayetteville, NC.

There is not enough space to tell you about our school! Plan was to for our son to attend this school for middle school and he goes to,high school next year! So, time has come to make the decision,and we left it up to him! Probably more work than public school and requires more out of a student and he made the decision to stay! My heart grew with joy when he told me why! Bible class, not a dry eye, to include the teacher. He went into detail of hearts moving and young men needs being met that wouldn't happen anywhere else and that was the decision, not friends or studies, that lead him to want to stay at his school! You can't buy that or teach that! That is a feeling! That is God working in a place where HE is taught and worshiped! This is what young people need! This is what is setting my son's life in place and then ......he is taught at a excellent level of education and excels in his study's! The program is spot on! They are safe and happy! He is being taught in a wonderful environment and we could not ask for more! Very thankful!

I chose this school after learning we would be moving to Fayetteville in 2011 and was ready to move away from the public schools because I wanted my kids to be in a Christian environment and get more individualized attention. I have not been disappointed! My children are now in 6th and 9th grade; they were in 3rd and 6th when they started. Both of my children are thriving and are learning a lot academically and how to think critically with a Christian worldview. Wish I had had this kind of education growing up.

I can not say enough great things about Freedom Christian Academy. Kind, caring, and enthusiastic Christian people work throughout the school. My child had an excellent first year in the 6th grade and now as a 7th grade student continues to grow both academically and spiritually. She participates in many extracurricular activities to include chorus, band, art, and athletics all while maintaining a great GPA. The staff promotes a superior learning environment offering free tutoring two days a week. Their genuine concern for the students is evident the moment you enter the building. My daughter loves the school and the staff and thanks us often for allowing her to attend.

Oh my... I have no idea where to start. I started with 1 kid in the 4 yr old program 4 years ago. It was then we realized this school was such a blessing that we pulled both of our girls from public school and have never looked back. When asked about FCA I simply say, 'If I had to work multiple jobs to keep my kids there, I would.' It is worth every dime we put into our children!

FCA is a great school because the Leadership there is great. From their mission statement to developing the leaders of tomorrow and their commitment to molding and shaping the character of their students-They live what they preach and are always open to feedback, advice, direction, and correction if warranted. They are committed to academic excellence yet a balanced student promoting sports and extracurricular activities by keeping it in proper perspective to the overall life of a student. Their standards are high and they do not tolerate mediocrity, disobedience to the standards or those that are not committed to the process. Their focus is about putting God first knowing all else that follows in proper alignment will prosper. We have been enrolled in this school since our children were in Kindergarten, now a Freshman and Junior, and would not be anywhere else. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to be a part of this School Family!

My children have been at FCA since its inception. The school has grown exponentially, by the grace of God. Growth has led to a beautiful building with patriotic and spiritual references on every wall (you have to see the mural of the signing of the Declaration of Independence!), a diverse student body that includes foreign exchange students, and families and teachers from all denominations. Under the leadership of its principal, the school was accredited in just 5 years, a feat that other schools took twice as long to accomplish. The school is not perfect because no one except God is perfect. It is, however, an excellent school with championship athletic teams, a phenomenal fine arts program, Honors and AP classes, an involved PTA, and caring faculty and staff.

FCA is an excellent school. The teachers and staff are dedicated to rigorous academics, discipline and Christian values. I am an active duty Soldier and my children have been to many schools. This is by far the best school I have seen. Thank the Lord for FCA.
