This tiny school is often overlooked because of its tiny size and small profile. With a limit of 400 students, everyone gets to know their teachers and vise versa. Time is provided for extra help, many resources are used to see that students succeed. The small staff seems more like a family and often collaborate lessons to help students see the interconnections and dive deeper into their lessons. Some programs offer certifications and students can opt for a 13th year, essentially a free year of college with 1 high school level class. The school has won many honors and continues to improve it's standing. After the pandemic, teachers have become more adept at online learning and 21st-century tools for learning. Many staff members have side gigs that bring distinction to the school from acting to publishing to running small businesses.
The last point is possibly the most important. The students and staff are the more accepting of diversity I have ever experienced. Students who may be "outsiders" in other schools often find a caring and loving home here. consider contacting the office for a tour. This one review cannot cover all that is available at VMCCA.

For the student that gets board easy and wishes to pursue interests before graduating from High School, this is a great option. Challenging honors classes and dedicated teachers.

We just had a really great first year!! Love the way the teachers care! And the rest of the staff is amazing! From the principal to the person that greets you at the front door!
