It is nice, the teachers work really well with the students, it's clean, food is okay, and classrooms are very nice and good for people who cannot focus .

I am so happy that we chose Innovation Academy for my daughter. She has always been more of a hands-on, project based learner, and traditional schools offer limited opportunities for that kind of learning. The teachers and administrators know how to communicate and build trust with students, which is extremely important, especially in those formidable middle school years. The students feel listened to and taken seriously, and their input in their education is not only allowed but highly encouraged. I also love how the school focuses on the whole picture for students, including mental health and self care, as well as encorporating extra curriculars as built into the school day, that way no student is left out for lack of time or transportation after school. The school is highly inclusive, at least as much as the school district will allow them to be. They are not just about the school itself, but also the community, and they help the kids become more aware and involved in the community. All in all, the school is set up to foster well rounded growth in it's students. I truly cannot say enough good things about this school and our experience there.
The ONLY issue I'd bring up is that some of the learning seems a bit disorganized, although that might just be coming from my kid (who does best with structure and consistent scheduling).

I have had one son attend and move on to Early College and my second son is attending now. I trust my sons education and future opportunities to Innovation Academy. They taught my oldest many important things not found in traditional schools. Team work, leadership, responsibility and pride being some of my favorite lessons. Teachers work together and bring the learning to real life.

This is the worst school my child ever attended. Despite what the school claims, there is little room for advancement at this school. I would not encourage anyone with a child with average or above intellect to send their child here. Much is missing from the curriculum that students at regular public JOCO middle schools are getting. I know of many children who have gone to Innovation Academy for grades 6-8, only to get to high school and be much farther behind than their peers.
