As sad as it is to say, it is a bit refreshing to know our family is not the only one after attending this school for several years that has left due to the ongoing issues with safety, academics, and the school itself falling short of every expectation they convey.
It feels the school has grown way too fast for its ability to accommodate. Teacher turnover is very high. Teachers, teachers children that attend, and the administration stick with each other even when they are in the wrong and allowing bullying and harassment to occur.
All concerns brought to administrators seemed to be taken seriously, but there was never accountability or follow through which leads to an inconsistent behavioral expectation among the students.
Academically, the upper school is insufficient and leaves children falling far behind their peers in the areas public schools. This says a lot considering the public schools are behind as well.
The excitement of the Christian culture is quickly snuffed out by the hypocrisy among staff and their desire to push anyone out that is not in their family or family friend circle.
Be warned the best this school has to offer is a great chapel service on Fridays. Other than that student safety, challenging academics, and spiritual growth do not seem to exist here.
We unfortunately were duped by their presentation and ultimately had to walk away.
We pray this school finally opens its eyes and makes the necessary challenges to glory God.

This school gives up on a child in a heartbeat. They claim to be Christian based, but the actions of the administration are the opposite.

We have been at the school for nearly 10 years and the beginning years were beautiful! The staff was so inviting and the heart was truly to partner with parents to give the best education (Christ centered) that could be offered. Over the years, the numbers have increased due to the NC scholarship becoming widely available to many. The numbers have nearly tripled since we began attending and the integrity of the administration has dropped. I currently have a child nearly 2 grade levels behind because classes are packed and there isn't time to assist. The roll over of teachers is impossible to keep up with and has caused a huge impact on one of my children whom has only attending for 3 grades and has had 6 different teachers. Teacher retention is a MAJOR issue here and it impacts the children greatly when their environment is constantly changing. We are so sad to see what was once a fantastic school shift to a place we can no longer stay at due to the lack of quality education. We simply can't afford to stay here and hope for a better year and things to be fixed next year. We did this last year and we are even more behind now. The classes are over the NC state requirements and therefor leaves no ability to really help children if they struggle to grasp something the first time. We are now having to enroll our child in Sylvan to catch up to the current grade level they should be in and that is going to cost almost half of what we have paid the school for one year of tuition. We hope the school makes a turn around for the future families but it's going to take a lot to do that. It will require some major humbleness to openly acknowledge the breakdown within the school and some major changes. Do your research before committing. Once you sign, you're locked into a contract regardless if your child is succeeding or not. This is something I wish we had thought out more before committing to this year but we had high hopes things would turn around. We only want to make known the challenges that come with attending this school in this current time. We miss the old LCA.

When we first enrolled at LCA, we were given the impression of a thriving school with qualified teachers and a Christian-centered environment. However, after a few months, we began to notice significant issues. While the administration frequently promotes that the school is accredited, it is important to understand what that means. The accreditation only requires teachers to complete a Christian-based training program, and many of the teachers do not have actual teaching degrees, classroom experience, or knowledge of state educational standards.
As parents, this lack of qualification became clear early on. When concerns were raised, they were often brushed aside and promises to address them were not followed through. We repeatedly had to contact administration before any action was taken. Additionally, although we were told that the head of the school was aware of our concerns, she was never directly involved in resolving them.
I encourage prospective families to look closely into the schoolÂ’s culture and staffing before enrolling. Speak with current parents, staff members, and people in the community to get a fuller understanding of the school beyond its promotional materials.
