Faith Christian Academy is a excellent School. My son loves being involved in the academics and sports. He also talks a lot about Choir and Art. The students at this School are intelligent, test high in their state testing, and a lot of them go on to go to College. I love that my son is going to a good School that teaches Godly values from the Bible and the School is a safe environment for my son. Mr. Sloan and Mrs. Sloan did a wonderful job taking care of my son and teaches him right from wrong. I know for sure that my son is going to a Godly Christian School. The Church and School try to stop the drama and gossip that goes on. People will be people, but it doesn't mean that one person makes up the entire Church and School. I always recommend that parents at this School always be involved and know what's going on with their children. Spend time with your children at home in the BIble and teach them each week about God. Parents should work with the teachers and support them. I think that if everyone works together their will always be a better outcome. Parents should pray for their child each day and for the children, the teachers, and the entire Church and School. Their is power in praying in Jesus name.

I have multiple students that attend Faith Christian Academy, and I couldn't be more pleased with the education and life skills that they are receiving. As a private, Christian school, they take seriously character and training from the Bible. Also, they seek to achieve excellence in the classroom, and my children are learning every day. I love their emphasis on reading in the early grades in the Academy. This skills of phonics and reading comprehension are so important because they touch every subject throughout their educational experience. I would recommend highly enrolling your child at FCA!

My family met some wonderful people at Faith Christian Academy, but they would agree that this school is the perfect example of homogeneity. With how small the community was, it felt as though everyone was everyone’s cousin. The bad thing about that is nothing’s kept secret. The moment someone messes up, everyone finds out. Nonstop gossip. Only a small fraction of the student body isn’t caucasian; that’s why it’s safe to openly say things that are derogatory outside of Faith. Most importantly, some of the teachers would belittle the kids; whether out of spite or obliviousness, some of the things we heard were uncalled for. There’s only a handful of teachers there I consider qualified.
Faith also has some outdated policies such as: Phones are turned in before class. Dancing of any kind is sinful. The soccer team is prioritized over a functional biology lab. There are no formal dances, no untucked shirts, no AP opportunities, no clubs, and no official academic counselors. If your kid is preparing for college, I don’t recommend they attend Faith Christian Academy.

My son has been going there from K-3 grade and is still enrolled. My son learns very well from the teaching staff, he is above his grade level and is reading very well. Assignments are not too easy unless your kid has learned the subject matter already, teachers properly help students on different levels to catch them up if they are behind. Homework is essential and it really helps for spelling tests and reading comprehension which keeps them ahead and above the par.

Terrible. Horrible. The worst. Would avoid at all costs.

Posted: July 26, 2020

The assignments are easy. Teachers barely assign any homework.

Posted: July 26, 2020

The teachers at this institution are moved around constantly and often do not hold degrees from accredited universities that qualify them to teach the subjects that they do.

Posted: July 26, 2020

This institution actively teaches students to disrespect those who hold different beliefs and come from different backgrounds. Students do not treat one another with respect, and neither do teachers.

Posted: July 26, 2020

There is no leadership at this institution. This institutional is entirely beholden to the will of the church that it is associated with.

Posted: July 26, 2020

I have seen students with learning disabilities be harassed and bullied by other students at this institution. The teachers do nothing to stop this.

Posted: July 26, 2020

Bullying is rampant at Faith Christian Academy. Whether or not a student is reprimanded for bullying depends entirely on how much money their parents contribute to the school or church that it is associated with.

My son has an attention deficit and he gets punished for it rather than help.

My daughter has been bullied several times by students and teachers alike and she is the one who gets in trouble.

So bad that we're considering taking our kids out and putting them in public school.

They are given tutoring opportunities and the teachers are always welcoming after school.

Posted: September 5, 2017

I was bullied and the teachers have a no bullying policy that they are extremely consistent with. I always felt safe

Posted: September 5, 2017

Parents don't like homework because they want their kids to come home with no work and I think it is beneficial.

Posted: September 5, 2017

I loved all of my teachers. They are excellent and well trained and they LOVE their students

Posted: September 5, 2017

It's a Christian school. If it didn't then it wouldn't be.

Posted: September 5, 2017

I loved this school. I wouldn't be the person I am without it and the principal is the best.

My children have thrived here! We love the community atmosphere and the school/spiritual balance. I love this school!

The teachers do not teach. They assign reading assignments and tell them to write about it. They do not teach the lessons.

Posted: May 24, 2015

The teachers give homework to make up for the fact that they do not teach their lesson plans.

Posted: May 24, 2015

There are only a few good teachers, especially in the high school. Most teachers in the high school think teaching is assigning busy work while they sit at their desk is teaching. None of the teachers are actively engaged with the students. Teachers do not even have degrees in the subjects they teach most of the time.

FCA is a great place if you want a school that desire to assist the family in the training of your child spiritually, academically, and socially. They have a very high percentage of 2nd and 3rd generation families. I am a second generation family. I went to school there and send all three of my kids to the school. The negative comments about favoritism are just not true. I do not go to the church and my children are treated the same as those that do attend the church. The school is a place that you should check out!

This school shows favoritism and doesn't treat all students the same way. Faith Christian Academy will not treat your child fairly unless you attend their church.
