To the person who wrote the last review from back in January... you are SPOT ON! And in case anyone is needing reference of the scripture mentioned... 2 Timothy 3:1-5- But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
SO MANY BETTER OPTIONS!!! Save your money and send your kids elsewhere.

My daughter was wrongly accused of writing a threat to the school on a bathroom stall. How she got accused is disturbing because it appears the head of the school and admin saw us, a tuition assisted, single mom household with limited resources to donate to the new building fund, as the best way to fix their problem. They have no evidence only assumptions (she went to the bathroom alone). The school would not allow us to talk through it, show us evidence or reconsider expulsion until I hired a lawyer. They forced me to withdrawal her. I now have reached out to several civil rights orgs to pursue further. We are just so shocked our Christian school would stoop this low to protect big donors.

Grace Christian School has been such a blessing to our son. The academic classes are rigorous and the teachers are very willing to help each student. Christ is implemented in each class, even beginning of year emails from teachers will have their favorite Bible verse included. My son adores this school, teachers, peers, and the entire staff. I must say Grace has done an exceptional job with COVID19 protocol. We are very comfortable with the safety measures taken to ensure safe and effective in person learning. I highly recommend this school.

My three years at Grace were extremely sub par. Both the education and the families are monotonous and lack diversity in thought, belief, and ideology. Grace’s teachings are outdated, prejudiced and outrageous. Kids are told hypocritical statements and untrue, biased opinions that are far from Christian in my book. The majority of the other kids were cliquey and rude to each other as well as to teachers, and the teachers said nothing about it. Favoritism was clearly present among families and admin; individuals who didn’t fit the same mindset as everyone else were outcast and made to feel inferior. I was afraid to speak my opinion at Grace for fear of judgement. The Theatre course was terrible, as was the Latin course after the teacher left. Grace did not provide me with the correct growing conditions that I needed. I didn’t feel comfortable in the environment that Grace provided for me whatsoever. You do not receive a well rounded education to help you succeed in the real world as Grace is very narrow minded and intolerant. I was very disappointed overall with Grace, as it is not what it makes itself out to be. I feel very liberated to have left Grace, but I am happy for my experience there as it taught me how to stay strong in my beliefs, even if they’re not the ‘norm’ that Grace has created. Being a student at Grace was a very negative, detrimental experience for me.

My son came home on multiple occasions saying inappropriate words and phrases that we have never heard. There was also very rough play on the playground that was not addressed or supervised.

I would not recommend this school. My son was physically roughed up on the playground, and each time, no teachers addressed the situation as adults. On one occasion, my husband actually witnessed my son being shoved to the ground with force from behind and no teachers around to see it happen. Upon withdrawing our son from the school, we were told "sorry for your experience and thank you for your feedback". No one ever truly addressed the lack of supervision on the playground and my son's negative experiences out on the playground. No one followed up to have a sit down to discuss our experience, either. Upon touring the school, I was "sold" on the fact that they encourage parental involvement. That was absolutely not the case in my son's classroom. There were very limited opportunities to be an active participant in his school activities and this was a concern of a handful of moms with children in my son's class. The parents were literally uninvited to a special event and we're told no parents were allowed on one of his field trips. I have had multiple conversations with scores of moms that have told me this is not proper protocol of any school, public or private. How we were treated and how my son was treated was unfortunate. We spent so much money, drove so many hours, and put so much time in these last four months. It all felt like it was for nothing. It never truly felt like we were cared about. My son's teachers never reached out when we withdrew him under those pretenses, either. Furthermore, our son was not properly taught. In four months, he didn't know all of his colors and numbers in Spanish. He didn't know his sight words and should have been further along in reading. Within two weeks of teaching him from home, he is now caught up to be where he should be. We are so thankful we took him out when we did and would encourage anyone looking into this school to use discernment.

After sitting down with my son for two weeks to finish out his first semester, we found out he did not know all of his colors or numbers in Spanish, he did not know most of his sight words, and he was behind in writing his letters and numbers.

The homework is fine, if you take the time to do it in class and manage your time wisely. The child probably is taking too much time on it or doing too many extracurriculars if they take 3 hours a night. No teacher does that.

Basing this review on our LAST year at Grace. The first 3 (K-2) were great. However, we were victims of the 3rd grade weeding out year. We found out Grace teaches 2 grade levels above regardless of ability, and focuses solely on competing internationally. After exhausting all efforts dealing with the teacher & meeting with the principal, we thought the headmaster would keep us at Grace, but the first thing out of his mouth when we met was "well, Grace isn't for everyone..." and "I guess you won't be returning the 2nd half of the year..." He was convinced from the start that we didn't belong at Grace. The only time he hesitated was when he saw my son's outstanding test scores. We battled it out the rest of the school year and never returned! It was pure hell for the entire year--3 hours of homework every night for a year straight. The stress that school put us through resulted in extreme health problems for me. They certainly had the attitude, "don't let the door hit you from behind." Although my son had great teachers K-2 who really seemed to love him, it was like the secular world entered the picture in the 3rd grade. He has ADHD, and his teacher had no tolerance. We were told the LEAP program was not suitable for him. So he no longer belonged there. Maybe if we had been more involved in the school, their various fundraising, bought into the idea of buying dozens of teacher gifts each year, or had been prominent figures in the school's eyes, things might have been different. But we were just struggling to pay the increasing tuition payments and take care of our disabled son. It seems ironic naming a school "Grace" --that sees its students as test scores rather than individual children of God whose unique talents need to be discovered and fostered. Instead, they are punished for not conforming to the "Grace" mold. And any school that touts their students' test scores but weeds the undesirables out until only the "cream of the crop" remains, is being deceptive! It has been 2 years since we left, but it has done immense damage to my son. It was such a blow to his self esteem, and he has had trouble making good friends since. Now that there is a new headmaster, maybe things are changing, but according to the latest reviews, that doesn't seem to be the case. We had briefly considered sending our younger son for his first couple years, hoping to have the same experience as our older son in the lower grades. But now the tuition is astronomical—thousands more than any of the other Christian schools in the area. Regardless of this and incessant pressure to fundraise/give above tuition, former teachers reviewed that their pay/benefits were lacking. Where are those tuition $$$$ going?

Doesn't help to 'go up the ladder' because school officials automatically side with the teachers and have no interest in what's best for individual students. I think they've lost sight of the ministry and have fully joined the free (secular) market and are selling an (expensive) product.

It was as if much of it--we were teaching him for the first time, and I found myself teaching it to him in a completely different way than the teacher, so he could understand it

If refunds were available for tuition money we would be lining up. This school has been a disappointment and has many issues. The biggest complaint we have is unqualified teachers. There are many first year teachers who have no clue how to teach. The Bible instruction has been particularly poor- shocking given this is a Christian School. Also, it appears that most families and teachers only stay apx. three years. Many have left in the middle of the school year. Ask the administration about the turnover rate and teacher qualifications. I agree that the homeroom moms runs the school

These reviews are bogus. If you read the 3 star and below ones you may get an honest opinion of this school. 27 five star reviews posted on 10/22/2013. 16 positive reviews in the following 6 days so 43 of the rave reviews were posted in 7 days.

The good is that they do have a Christian focus however... I agree with the what appear to be the only honest posts, the 1-3 star ones. GRACE is overshadowed by an administration that plays favorites with students. If a parent is a coach, works at the school, or is a part of the clicky homeroom moms then their children are heavily favored. Pictures in media, leniency for misbehavior (even aggressive bullying), and given extra attention by the teachers. Even the little ones notice this in elementary school. This does not improve on the upper campus.

As far as the Macs, tuition increased but education did not. The kids still have to haul 15 pounds of books around with them and the Macs are a big distraction in and outside of classroom.
I agree with the other parents posting real reviews. GRACE relies heavily on homework to do the teaching. If your child needs any additional classroom support, the administration is not supportive. The LEAP program is reserved for the coach/faculty kids and the homeroom mom click. Facilities limit the program...no athletic fields, library facilities, adequate theater space, etc. Most staff are kind and willing to help- too bad they often lack expertise. Not a place for kids with learning differences

I wanted to post an honest review but it seems like someone will just cover it up like they did the others (the positive review streaks all happened after someone posted something that was 1-3 stars). Very dishonest for a supposedly Christian person or persons to do.

I have taught at GRACE for 16 years, and I love it. Faculty and staff are all supportive of each other and of students while maintaining a high academic standard. We strive to prepare them, not only for college, but for living out their faith in a challenging world. I wouldn't want to work anywhere else.

Highly organized and Pro-Active with the students and parents. Consistent communication provided through email to keep parents in the loop on any and all events, goings on, etc. Staff and faculty are very in tune with curriculum, kids progress and welfare and are energetic and friendly. Quite a change coming from public schools just last year. We are very excited to see our 2 kids progress to broadening their knowledge, whom care about others, provide volunteer work for the community, become more independent and confident in their abilities.

Just a great school. Our son has been there since Kindergarten (in 11th grade now). We feel so blessed that he has been part of this nurturing but still challenging environment all this time. He has thrived at Grace Christian and we think he's very well prepared for college. The teachers, staff, administration, anbd board have established a school, that first and foremost, develops Christian character in the young people. As parents, we love seeing the other kids our son has in his peer group. The school has great Advanced Placement opportunities; great athletic opportunities; as well as great community service opportunities. The teachers are outstanding. Every single one our son has had ... has gone above and beyond the instruction (which is superlative) to be models of what it means to be a Godly person. We could not be more pleased w/ our experience at GCS (& the tuition has stayed flat over the past 3 years which is amazing).

We are pleased our grandson is a member of the Kindergarten class at Grace Christian. We enjoy the attitude they teach of putting others first and helping others, being kind, considerate, mannerly ... saying "yes mam, thank you, and please" and learning to share. We are amazed at how much he has learned in such a short period of time. His vocabulary and pronunciation were outstanding before his parents enrolled him at Grace, but each time we interact with him now, we are hearing words and phrases and just general conversation that is all new to him and us! He is so eager to share what he learns everyday and has greatly improved in ways that he was not before comfortable. We also are pleased with the Bible verses he is learning each week and Bible stories he is being taught. We like that he is happy and has a desire to know more and to always be in school. He reminds me of a sponge ... soaking it all in! His teacher has instigated a real desire in him to learn. She knows how to boost his confidence. We are comfortable he is in a safe environment. Everybody at Grace Christian is so nice and cooperative. We feel he is being blessed everyday and we are grateful.

I am a grandparent with two grandchildren at Grace. I have been very impressed with the curriculum and what my grandchildren learn. Most of all, I'm impressed with the caring, compassionate, very able teachers and principal. They have been wonderful working through problems my grandchildren have had with school work as well as emotional problems and my grandchildren are just doing great. We had one very difficult year with one of the children and I know she would not have made it through at year at public school. The teachers were so kind and understanding and worked with her and her parents and now she is just doing great. I love Grace!

Great school! We just moved to the area and have been here 3 months. We enrolled our child into the 6th grade. We were looking for a school that had good academics, an athletic department with variety, and was up to date in todays society with electronics. We have to move around a lot because of jobs so this is the 3rd elementary school she has been enrolled in. This school by far surpasses all our expectations! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience so far. This is our first time attending a private school but I can honestly say that I will never go back to public! What a difference it has made in my child. She has always been a great student who made good grades, but since attending this school her "spirit" or "guard" is finally let down. She is not afraid to just be herself. Middle school is such a hard age to figure out who you are and where you belong. I am beyond thrilled that she will be in this school during these challenging years. I am rating it 4 stars out of 5 because there is always room for improvement with anything!

I have been so grateful for the impact this school has had on my sons' lives. My oldest went to a public high school. It fit his personality and he did fine, though it wasn't challenging or character-forming. At Grace, the teachers and coaches have develop meaningful relationships with my sons, encouraging them to learn to their best ability, to grow in their leadership skills, and to take their faith seriously. One son is doing exceptionally well at UNC-CH, and the other hopes to attend their next year.

This school is very inviting and welcoming. The academics are first rate. We as grandparents, along with the parents, chose this school for a lot of reasons. The first reason being because of the Christian values they bring to our young and impressionable grand daughter. The second being the kind and caring staff that provide excellent academic learing experiences. There are many opportunites for the children to be involved in activities, sports and clubs. I think this is important for a well rounded experience. Overall, this school tops most in the state of North Caroling.

My 12th-grade daughter entered GRACE in 10th grade after homeschooling her whole life. She has had some of the same teachers for several years, is able to take advantage of the extensive offerings of AP courses, and enjoyed being involved in drama and choir, service projects, academic group projects. Since everyone uses the school-issued laptops, they are able have assignments to make video presentations. She has had lots of homework and a rigorous program, creatively implemented.

GRACE provides a safe, loving, and caring place for my children. I love this school and so do my kids. The facilities are wonderful and the teachers are great. We tried the public schools for 3 months and it was not a positive experience. I am so thankful that we found GRACE. I have a child that has some challenges with learning and the LEAP Program has helped him overcome them with dignity. It is a wonderful place!

We are new to GRACE this year and couldn't be happier. The school is very organized and inviting. My child's teacher is talented, organized, committed, and faith-filled. We receive constant communication and know exactly what is happening in the classroom and elsewhere on the school campus. The curriculum is appropriate and taught in creative ways. The children in my child's third grade class are sweet and well-behaved. There are many events that happen outside of school hours, such as tailgates, talent shows, plays, and moms night out. We are so happy that we made the switch to GRACE Christian School.

The students care about learning and help each other be successful. This school helps them become great students and wonderful individuals. We chose Grace for our daughter for the loving Christian environment, strong academics and smaller class sizes. We could not be any happier with our choice. We visited several schools including public options and have not regretted it once. The teachers and staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Our daughter started kindergarten and is now in first grade and the friendships with not only her but as a family has been wonderful.

Grace Christian School is an unbelievable academic environment! Both our daughters have been there since kindergarten and are enrolled in high school currently. Grace is always on the cutting edge as Mac Books are issued to the students for the entire school year. The teachers and leadership at the school are the best. Not only are they academically prepared to handle classroom teaching, they are true teachers who instill in the students the highest standard of ethics and morals that will be with them a lifetime. The entire Grace family supports one another and truly has each student's best interest at heart, whether in the classroom or on the sports field or elsewhere. This is our third year at GRACE and each year we discover more reasons to be invested in this school. Our kids are given a solid academic foundation while being able to explore their talents. The faculty cares about their academic AND spiritual growth. Many opportunities are given to be involved in the classroom, lunchroom, on PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship), sports, advisory boards, etc. The more parents and students get involved in the school, the more community is built. We are so thankful for GRACE!

GRACE Christian School is a loving school that offers exceptional academics. From the moment I toured I felt GRACE was the place for my children. The warm environment, smiles on the teachers faces and exceptional academic program offers it all for my children. The technology program is the best in the area. My daughters have been using a smartboard since kindergarten and were then handed their very own macbook in 4th grade. This was included in the tuition price! As a parent I know my children are receiving a biblical foundation along with the very best academics.

Grace Christian School is a faith based school with strong academics and a very family friendly atmosphere. My son loves going to school and I love that he is able to pray and learn about God while also learning the core curriculum. My school is small but absolutely wonderful. Because we are small, we have a small teacher/student ratio, allowing students to really get to know our teachers and other students. As a 7th grader coming into GRACE, I knew upperclassmen. As a junior now, I know the freshman. We are small but because of this, I know every person in my grade by name and almost every person from 7th through 12th grade on a first-name basis. However, just because we are small does not mean we are not an effective school. Everyone at GRACE gets a full education and our staff teaches us everything we need to know, to not only pass the class, but also to help us grow as people. I have been at this school since Kindergarten, and there was never a time I would ever consider leaving.

It is the best School in the World!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all love all the great kind loving caring teachers and thank them for preparing us for the older grades. Grace has so many extra curricular activities to do and things to play for pete sakes they have an indoor basketball cage in the lunch room. Grace has the best food in the word they have chick fila pei wei, moes, jersey mikes, and dominoes pizza. Grace is the best school in the world in my opinion I love Grace and I will never leave this school.

My family and I are so pleased to have found a great community at GRACE! The academics are strong, the teachers are gifted, and the administration is supportive. Truly, GRACE is a healthy and vibrant learning community. The word community is not used loosely at GRACE. It really does feel like home. Parents, students, and staff care for one another in times of need. In addition, they celebrate each other's successes. At the upper level, GRACE does an excellent job at raising students up into leadership. Their chapel program is student-led as are the mission trips offered to Middle and High Schoolers. We love GRACE. We would not choose any other schools!

GCS's mission statement is "GRACE Christian School is a loving community that spiritually and academically equips, challenges, and inspires students to impact their world for Christ." We felt the loving community aspect when we toured the school for our then preschool and kindergarten daughters. This loving community joins each member as a true family that cares for one another during hardships--they have a Care Committee. The school definitely spiritually equips our daughters. Bible is taught everyday and each class incorporates God's teachings. Chapel each week is a time of Praise and Worship with their peers. Our school is big on community service. Our daughters are given the opportunity to serve others in our community, outside our state, and outside our country. Academically our daughters are challenged daily. The teachers desire for each student to truly learn and not simply just memorize material for a test. Our teachers are on fire for Christ! They love teaching our students academics as well as inspiring them to be leaders in this world. Our administration is always accessible and available with listening ears. We've been at GRACE for 10 years.

Grace Christian School is a school that makes learning fun and easy. Everyone there is so nice and encouraging. When you are new, the students and staff welcome you in the kindest ways you felt like you have been there for awhile. Teachers are a lot of help if you don't get something in the class. I like the lunch time the best because i can hang out with my friends and play games with them. We have some days to help others in need or to spend time with Christ. Grace Christian also bring the students closer to God and to each other. Every class has something to relate or has to do with Christ and God. Grace Christian also makes you want to make life goals or ways to make something better. They show you what path to take to be successful in life.

If you are looking for a quality education for your child (ren) that meets and exceeds all the requirements and then some, you have come to the right school. Not only are the academics top notch they are taught through caring, loving, patient, devoted, well educated and most importantly Christian based teachers and leadership. I am thrilled that we are able to send our son to such a great Christian school. Each teacher my son has had has been extremely loving and kind. After having survived the strict environment at another private school, I was anxious for my son to enjoy learning and enjoy attending school. Not impressed. Great tech, facilities, but lacking in certain teachers, main secretary, ... For the price you pay, I expect more as a parent. I end up doing most of the teaching for my children as they are not getting adequate instruction at school. Disappointing.

I have two students at Grade, one in middle school and one in high school. The environment and staff at Grace have allowed both to excel. The work load is not easy, but the results on standardized exams like SAT and AP exams and the student's acceptance rate into UNC Chapel Hill and other extremely good universities and colleges speak for themselves. The school creates a safe and caring environment for the students. The E4 technology initiative is great and has further elevated the school's effectiveness in teaching and student results.

As a graduate of GRACE, I do feel that GRACE prepared me for college both academically and otherwise. My classmates got into the colleges that best fit them, which does mean that not all the schools were impressive academically. The smaller atmosphere allowed me to participate in a number of activities such as the Irish Dance program, various sports, and student government. Faculty bent over backwards to arrange my schedule so that I could take all of the classes I wanted/needed and still hold a part-time job my Senior year. The lack of uniforms is both a blessing and a curse, as this makes it difficult to know what is allowed and what isn't, but provides a freedom that uniforms do not. There are "cliques", particularly in middle school where such things are common amongst girls, but each grade/class differs in its acceptance of others. My classmates and I all agreed that our knowledge of the Bible and ability to intelligently argue for our faith was superior to that of other Christian friends (even those attending other well-known Christian schools in the area). A major downside to GRACE is the price, as it is the most expensive private school of its caliber in the area.

GRACE Christian School is a non-denominational K-12 college prep program. GCS has a five-year accreditation from ACSI and AdvancED. Loving community, Christian worldview, academic excellence and 21st century technology are hallmarks of our wonderful school. Our SAT scores average 1783, higher than all but one of the public schools in the Raleigh area. We are currently conducting a one to one Macbook program for grades 4-12 and have SMARTBoards in all K-3 classrooms.

My 5th Grader received a free MacBook! My wife and I were excited to have our daughter transition to Grace due to the overwhelmingly high SAT scores as well as enriched student activities and overwhelmingly positive environment. But were floored by their new E4 technology initiative which offers MacBook laptops for each student in 5th - 12th grades for school and home use, a classroom-use MacBook laptop for each 4th grader, and a SMARTBoard interactive system for each kindergarten through 3rd grade classroom. This year has been an amazing one for our daughter. She continues to excel in her schoolwork as well as cultivate great friendships. We highly recommend anyone considering a change or planning to begin their children's schooling to check out Grace and see what it has to offer.

I have 3 children at GRACE going back 10 years, and have seen tremendous growth in both the program and the faculty. This year's HS SAT scores rank higher than almost all area schools, public and private. The new E4 technology initiative, including a MacBook for every student in grades 4-12 has dramatically energized both our students and faculty, as GRACE students are learning essential skills for college and the workplace beyond. The athletics program is soaring, with our 1st State championship (boys X-country) and a State 2nd place finish in Girls varsity volleyball. Fine Arts program is also very strong. GRACE is a warm, loving community with godly faculty who care about every child in their classes. The HS has many male teachers (rare in Christian schools) who are great role models for young men. Parent participation at GRACE is strongly encouraged with many volunteer opportunities. Finally, students make friendships that will last a lifetime with other great kids from wonderful families. Don't listen to a few disgruntled people who got angry over an issue, left the school, and wrote a negative review. Check it out, see for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

For our one elementary school son, my wife and I researched multiple schools, both private and public, within a reasonable distance to our home in Cary. We wholeheartedly chose GRACE. Under the umbrella of Christ, the stage is set for tremendous academics (SAT scores terrific), successful athletics, new technology initiative providing lap tops to all kids grades 5-12, and a dedicated, experienced, and quality group of teachers and administrators. The school exemplified its mission statement during my wife's cancer treatments with a truly "loving community". These efforts beautifully modeled the life that Christ intended for Christians to live, and the theoretical underpinnings of the school shined through this practical example! Moreover, our son witnessed first hand just how to love others, and treat people as you would have them treat you. We are quite pleased with our son's experiences at GRACE.

My son is happy and doing well at GRACE. His teachers really know him and work with him to improve his learning skills. He tends to daydream and take a very long time to finish work. When we were in public school, we met with the teacher only twice a year. The public school teacher didn't even mention his daydreaming or inability to finish work on time until the 3rd quarter review. Those same things about him were noticed and brought to my attention by his GRACE teacher the 3rd day of class! The teachers at GRACE love their students and really get to know them. It is a loving, Christian community. The families at GRACE are dedicated, caring, and very involved. I recommend GRACE to other families.

We have several friends who have decided to leave Grace for more quality education. While the teachers in the younger grades are strong, it's downhill from there. Lots of worksheets, parent-assisted homework lasting hours at night, and no leadership from administration to make it better...other than giving students laptops in the coming year. I have to agree with a previous review written on this site, that the children of staff are given more grace and more leeway when behaving inappropriately, simply because their parents work there. The children whose parents are actually paying for them to attend Grace deal with the bullyish behaivior from these children without any resolution. I also agree that the quality of education is not there...especially for the price you'd be paying for your child to attend. The families are fantastic, but the school itself lacks quite a bit.

There is absolutely no accountability for teachers here. The administration is weak, and the teachers are lacking the knowledge to actually teach their material. The award winning reviews here must be submitted by Grace staff in an effort to increase enrollment in their flailing school. Most teachers are sweet and mean well, but if they're not teaching the basics adequately, is that reason enough to spend thousands of dollars a year here? I think not. I would like to see Grace thrive and prosper in the future for the family friends we have there...but that's going to take quite a bit of change, administrators with backbones, and teachers being held accountable for teaching the basics. Giving laptops to 4th and 5th graders isn't going to hide that fact.

Keep looking. I had two kids here in last couple of years. Grace has one good point, the Christian atmosphere for kids. Teaching is below average. They rely heavily on homework to do the teaching. Very little classroom teaching. If your child needs any additional classroom support, the elementary administration is not at all supportive. They wants kids who need minimal help in-class. Discipline is poor as well, especially if the one that needs discipline is a son of a faculty member or coach. My physically disabled son was bullied for an entire year, and the school and parents apologized at end of year. The next year the bully was on Safety Patrol. There are better options than Grace Christian.
