I have had some negative experiences with certain staff members who have demonstrated a lack of professionalism. While some teachers have been attentive and committed, others have shown a concerning lack of communication.

Parents are using a nearby neighborhood to pick up their kids instead of staying on school property, and it’s creating chaos. Many of these parents are doing U-turns right in the middle of a four-way intersection, which is extremely unsafe for kids and other cars in the area. This behavior is not only dangerous but completely unacceptable. The school needs to take action—close the gates by the fields and require parents to pick up their students on school property where it can be monitored and controlled!

Homework is sufficient but not overwhelming. I feel they do lots of school work during the day.

Our experience has been that all the teachers are super involved in and out of school with the students.

This school is by far the worst school I have ever seen for children on the autism spectrum. They are kept outside away from all the other children in pods that don't even have bathrooms or water fountains. They do not get to play on the slides for recess. They do not get to learn their grade level curriculum because they are in multi grade classrooms. They are treated like 2nd class citizens and now their therapists are not even allowed in school with them. CCSD is horrible for children with disabilities. I can't wait to move and take my child out of this poor excuse for a district place.

We moved into the Gray's Creek area because we were told by other military parents that it was better than other areas of Fayetteville. We have children at the High School, Middle School and Gallberry Farm Elementary. I will start by saying that Gallberry Farm school has a great PTO, front desk staff, counselor, and school nurse; however, we did not have a great experience with our child's teacher. Our child dealt with teasing/bullying from his teacher on a weekly basis. She used words such as, "that's bull!", "shut up!", "you're fools!", "screw this!" and other forms of inappropriate language that third grade teachers should not be using toward children. I really did not believe these accusations that my child was coming home with regarding his teacher, until another parent told me that her child was coming home saying the same things. Parents believe your children when they come home upset about what adults say to them! This teacher does not have biological children, nor seem like she really teach for the love of teaching, but rather for a paycheck. She had a problem with parents coming to the classroom without an appointment and other things that should have been red flags to us as parents. She speaks to the parents in a soft sweet kinder-tone, but talk to the children in a loud and rough tone when other adults are not around. Needless to say, I requested a room transfer. The principal honored my request to move our child to another 3rd grade teacher; however, the new teacher was not happy about acquiring a new student at the third quarter of the school year. As a parent I am trying to be as involved as I can in his new classroom and the new teacher is receptive of that (thankfully). We still have set the wheels in motion to file a former compliant to the Dept of Education regarding my concerns of maltreatment towards military children (who by the way garner special funding for NC public schools) from his former teacher. For military parents, I highly suggest moving to the Jack Britt school zone, or enroll your children into private schools. There are Opportunity Grants in NC for public school students to attend private schools where parents only have to pay a fraction of the cost. Our children will be attending private schools next school year. All children should be given a fair opportunity to learn in a hostile free and nurturing environment.

Very ineffective when foul and inappropriate language is used towards third graders. These type of teachers can benefit from professional development courses.

My daughter started Gallberry this year in first grade. She has adjusted well, and loves her teacher. She is learning at an incredible rate. I have been very impressed with the community spirit and the "Gator Gatherings" that they have monthly. I've enjoyed watching my daughter be excited about learning.

My daughter attends kindergarten here and we couldn't be happier. The teachers are great and the whole school offers a great sense of community. There are always opportunities for families together outside of the classroom and really interact with other teachers, parents, and students. Very impressed and that's why we have chose to move within the same area to stay in this district!

This school needs to learn how to manage their time with the students better.They need to listen to their students instead of telling them to get over it and put them in the back of the line.Their are so many parents who are ready to start a petition about the teachers and prinicipal.They want to blame everything on the parent and not what they do wrong.This school is suppose to be an auticstic school and they will not help this one lady because her kids are hi functioning auticstic and they are blaming it on the parents.But these kids have diagnoisis from their doctors but the school does not care because they don't think they need extra help.They are bot doctors.They let bullyng go on at their school and do nothing about it.Some one should do a sweep of that school because it use to be so much better.Very Concerned Parent.They are timing the kids about how many times they go to the bathroom but don't have enough time to write down that your kid missed his assignment.So gave him an F on his progress report.I just don't get it.

This school is not a good school. The staff is rude and the principal is not user friendly. They don't acre about your children. They say they have a no bully policy well that's not true. Anytime you have any issue they ignore you and teachers lack credentials. Don't be fooled by all these positive comments. IT's simply not true....I just can't afford to pay for private school. Kids also need socialization so home-schooling is out of the question. I am stuck in this terrible school.

My son attended kindergarten and first grade at this school. His kindergarten teacher was not our favorite, but first grade has been awesome!!! The school has recently purchased the expensive Singapore Math program that has completely changed how our kids are learning math. They are grasping the concepts well, my son can add and subtract 2 and 3 digit numbers in his HEAD. And don't get me started on his reading and multiplication--in FIRST GRADE! I'm just so bummed we are moving out of state, we are going to miss Gallberry!

The absolute best school my daughter has attended I am at this time relocateing so she can attend Gallberry Farms its all around a great place to send your kids to school they always give 110% to there classroom an keeping the parents involved...

My daughter has gone to this school for 2 years now and we absolutely love this school! My Husband and I did a fair amount of research on the schools in this area (Fayetteville and surrounding areas) before we bought our house and we found Gallberry to be one of the best! We highly recommend this area and this school in particular!

love the school staff is always polite and helpful daughter loves going to this school ! we are a military family and like that this school was smaller in size and location im so glad we chose gallberry farms district!
