I cannot say enough about Highland Learning Center. I struggled for a few years moving my child from daycare to daycare until I found Highland. Within the first day EVERYONE in the school knew my daughters first name and made her feel welcomed and at ease. This was the first center that she did not cry when I dropped her off. To me that speaks volumes. The teachers are wonderful as they cater to the needs and whims of toddlers which we know vary constantly. They genuinely care about each child in their classroom which is hard to come by. My little girl is three but She can already count to 20 in Spanish, knows a variety of songs, writes her name and identifies her letters. I would highly recommend Highland for anyone looking for a warm and loving environment for their child.

Please do not be deceived by the 5 star rating. Most of the teachers are not licensed or certified and lack the guidance they need to maintain control of their classrooms. If you want to introduce your child to a school setting this is not the place. While I felt Ms. Kathie and Ms. Amanda had a wonderful classroom, Ms. Susan failed to maintain her classroom or encourage my son to learn. He was also hit several times by the same child and not once was a teacher present to witness the event. The Assistant Director told me my child had been choked only to have the Director deny it after I decided to remove my child. My concerns were ignored by the Director and teachers were not held accountable for their lack of supervision. The Director initially placed my son in a More at Four class even though he was not close to the cut off date and was 7 months younger than all of the other students. I believe she was just trying to fill a half day spot at full price. My son attended for several months and never learned to write his name. Two weeks at home and I taught him to write it from printoffs I found on the internet. Overall, I felt like we overpaid for inadequate babysitters.
