My child had the privilege to attend this school for 3 years. I can attest to the fact that staff is very concerned about the children's well being. My child had a couple of issues with bullying on the school bus and a conflict with a student in the classroom. Both incidences were addressed and resolved immediately. She was able to speak to the school counselor anytime she felt the need to.
When my child had trouble catching up in math, I was offered tutoring for her which helped immensely. My child thrived here.
The staff is very approachable and welcome parents to discuss any concerns.
The school encourages parental participation. They offer activity nights for families.

I have children in both the immersion program and traditional program. The teachers and staff are caring and really love the kids. If there is an issue, I just bring it to someone's attention and it is resolved almost immediately. This school has been fantastic for the past 5 years and I will be sad to leave it due to a military move.

My child attended this school when it first opened through 5th grade. She loved her language classes and all of her teachers who were utterly devoted to student success. She is now in Early College and is currently studying college level Chinese. I can only believe that THIS school helped pave the way for her success.

Horrible. The principle would not deal with bullying, teachers ignored our bullying problem. My kid supposedly was good all year but then all of a sudden come the last quarter was considered being held back. There's a lot of troubled kids there that are not being disciplined and the stress we dealt with was not just something I dealt with. Several other parents I know pulled their kids out and has gone to homeschooling. THAT is how wonderful this school is.

An outstanding school! My 3rd grader loved this school since the first day. The teacher is very reachable as well as the principal. Making sure kids learn are their first priority. Kids can enjoy the playground as well as different cultural activities and performances for them during the school year. They have a great language immersion program (chinese) where kids learn how to speak chinese fluently. Volunteers are always welcome and is very easy to get involved. Overall, it has been a great experience so far!

Great language immersion program for students to learn another language. Students seem really interested in the content taught.

This school is a great improvement from their other school. However, I do wish it would be an easier process to get in touch with the teachers.

This is an excellent elementary school. I have two children currently attending the school, and I could not be more pleased. I love the learning environment, and the staff is a group of dedicated professionals. I also am very pleased that all students learn Mandarin Chinese. It is a beautiful school with great resources. The staff demands respect and is very caring to the students. Highly recommend.

My daughter attended this school for 3 years and we loved it. The staff is amazing they work hard to make sure all of the students learn and grow. I love the world view, with the kids learning about other countries and cultures. They also use technology to enhance the learning and involve the kids. A really great school.

My son has attended this school since it opened and we love it. The staff is friendly, teachers are fantastic, and the school is beautiful and state of the art! My son has thrived at this school and learned some Mandarin as well. This is a great school choice for anyone moving to the area!

My daughter is in Kindergarten this year and loves learning Chinese. There are lots of fun school activities and as a parent I appreciate that the school is "green" and provides up to speed technological tools. I also really like the international concept. My daughter recognizes flags from around the world, which is kind of cool.

The administration is by far the most involved caring group of professionals I have encountered in both public and private schools. I was concerned my children would not receive the necessary basics since they would be learning a demanding foreign language; I was wrong. They have grown leaps and bounds academically and socially. Our children used to go to a private school and I can say hands down they are receiving a better education with many new opportunities. Truly happy with the school and faculty. We have children in college and have always held academics in high regard, thank you NCIES for being all that you are!

If you are relocating to the Jack Britt area. I would recommend New Century International. This school gets Five Stars ***** from me. These schools have the newest technology with state of the art classrooms. The Mandarin Chinese program is wonderful. My son is learning to speak Chinese and connecting with other students across the globe. I feel like this school is taking the students into the next generation. My sons reading and computer skills has improved dramatically. Not to mention the positive atmosphere in the school. Everyday it feels warm and welcoming. As a parent I am very happy with the teachers and the administration. Next to a private school it does not get any better than this!

If you plan to move to the Jack Britt area, you should definitely consider New Century. It has been a wonderful school for my children for the last two years. All of their teachers have been great and very supportive. The school is state of the art and beautiful, as is the staff. As another parent commented, the PTA and parent involvement were non-existent last year but things seemed to have turned around and the moral at the school is much better and quite frankly it's a fun place to be. I admire the administration for the way they demand respect from the students as it seems to be something lacking in a lot of kids these days. If you chose this school you won't be disappointed!

My son has enjoyed and thrived during his fourth and now fifth grade year at new century. I'm amazed at the continual improvements with high standards of education and adding additional activities and clubs for the kiddos! We especially love the family reading nights. Filled with interactive games and activities to cultivate an atmosphere of "The love of learning". We love our school.

I love this school! My child has been extremely happy there and the staff is awesome. The principal is always accessible and easy to talk with. My child is in the fourth grade and he loves both of his teachers and his principal. My child has learned a lot about the world around him and this is good because we don't get to travel much outside of the US. Great job New Century!

My son attended this school for first grade, his teacher was awesome; however I can't say that about the rest of the staff! Parent involvement is a joke at this school, the office staff is the most rude I have EVER incountered; and the principal lacks in every way. I can state all this for fact as I was a member of the PTA of this school, which was also a joke for involvement not only from parents but from staff as well. The school has no set guidelines in place for discipline, they were more concerned with trying to be a "friend" to everyone instead of discipling those that really needed it. I would recommend you take your child to another school. As I have done.
