| College Readiness | 2/10 | The College Readiness Rating uses this high school's graduation rates, college entrance exam participation and performance, or AP, IB, or Dual Enrollment participation to determine how well schools are preparing students for success in college and beyond. The College Readiness Rating was created using the following data from the 2021 Civil Rights Data Collection: percentage of students enrolled in IB, AP or Dual Enrollment classes in grades 9-12, using 2023 4-year high school graduation rate data from New Mexico Public Education Department, and using 2023 demographic data from the National Center for Education Statistics. |
| Student Growth | 10/10 | The Student Progress Rating measures whether students at this school are making academic progress over time based on student growth data provided by the Department of Education. Specifically, this rating looks at how much progress individual students have made on state assessments during the past year or more, how this performance aligns with expected progress based on a student growth model established by the state Department of Education, and how this school's growth data compares to other schools in the state. The Growth Rating was created using 2023 Student growth data from New Mexico Public Education Department. |

They talk a good talk but at the end of the day. They do not serve the community or the students that go to this school. Not sure students actually graduate with any learned skills. Maybe how to evade a vape detector.
Most of the people in any position of power at this school do nothing. Its the best none -teaching school. Mostly a click of adults that want to be perceived as cool, but just adult bullies, teaching our kids to be the same.
Safety is a joke. Doors left open all over the school throughout the day, and the security officer is the same age as the students, probably graduated from the school. Swears like shes had a long lived life. Probably sleeping with one of he student.
Family engagement was great and then like everything else at that school. It wasnt!
Better education and resources at an APS public school.

It is not a supportive community for special education students. Warm bodies equal money for charters. They claim they will support students with learning challenges, but not enough is done to help them succeed. You would be better off in public schools. Title 1 schools receive more funding for special educational support. Don't believe the hype.

I came to work at D.A.T.A. in 2019 and am currently a teacher at this public charter school, having heard great things about it for many years but having always been reluctant to make the transition from teaching at the charter school where I had previously enjoyed working so much. Once I joined this team, and began collaborating with this great group of educators, counselors, administrators, and staff, I wondered what took me so long to make the switch!! D.A.T.A. has a refreshing approach, continually transforming the traditional attitudes toward education, forever seeking to meet and improve upon the challenges of schooling in the 21st century, and doing what's best for the STUDENTS. Other schools talk the talk, and some follow through, but D.A.T.A. follows through at least 99% of the time. I have seen formerly apathetic disengaged young people gradually grow into their own, and flourish in this creative academic community, sometimes for the first time in their lives. D.A.T.A. has a supportive environment with small classes and extremely dedicated, talented teachers, and very responsive administrators and student support professionals. No student ever slips through unnoticed or unsupported, and students (and families) from a variety of backgrounds continue to return to us year after year. If you are looking for a welcoming school with high standards and a rigorous education, and extremely low incidents of bullying and destructive behaviors, check us out. We hope to see your child here soon!

My granddaughters are attending this school and will graduate this year (2021). They have attended since they were sophomores. They have both done so well academically at this school with the small class size. The teachers are amazing. This last 1.5 year of virtual learning has been difficult for many students but DATA staff and administrators have used innovative and creative ways to keep students engaged and excited about learning. We are so glad to have found this school. Highly recommend!

My gifted child is twice exceptional and they have fostered so much growth in them without labeling or being biased. We are blessed to have found them.

Fantastic school. My child has found talent and skills and strengths they never knew they had. The teachers work so hard.

Too many hard drugs in this school for me to do a review with nothing being done to put a stop to the problem or find the source. My daughter will not be going back after this semester ends.

Digital Arts and Technology Academy is what a charter school should be. I worked for DATA for two and a half years, and it was a highly rewarding experience. The Principal and Assistant Principal (who has since been made principal at another school in NM) were amazingly supportive of staff, students, and parents. The students are fantastic. In a city plagued by apathy, ennui, and violence in schools, DATA is a bright beacon of education for those who can't afford private education. The teachers at DATA are rare finds. This young, energetic teaching staff is able to make learning cool for the students, who come from all over the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area. Had I remained in New Mexico, I would gladly have continued teaching there. I don't expect I'll ever find a school with as much positive energy and big-family feel as DATA.
