The administration has its priorities (if it has any at all) completely garbled. Its possible that some students here are just passed to get them out of the way.

I believe most teachers try the very best but its an uphill battle. Due to the location of the school, the social economic background its almost impossible for students to succeed. Its needs a complete overhaul.

My experience at the school was horrific. Throughout my tenure there I was enrolled in pre-college classes. After graduation and the real world hit me I was so incredibly angry at the lack of preparation I received. I had to work 10 times as hard as my peers (most of them were from college pre HS IN ABQ) but it was more of review for them compared to something completely new for me. For example, calculus was not even offered to RG students. I had to take it during the summer so that I could get into the college that I wanted. Most basic college entrance classes I tested out of or A/P BUT that was only because my parents invested in rigourous after school tutoring, all three years of summer school for classes that were not offered or because I wanted a higher grade than what I earned so my GPA was accepted by decent colleges. Rio Grande failed me and if we not for my sole determination, my parents and a handful of dedicated teachers Id be nothing more than a statistic. Shame on you.

The administration does not follow through in support of teachers. I would not send my child to this school until APS gets a new principal at this school. Amanda Debell is a by polar administrator and runs all her teachers off when she needs to go. Unexperienced administrator that does not know how to run a school.

Apparently their AP classes don't include English, grammar and spelling. Perhaps you just have not actually attended any of the AP classes. Below are just a few of the obvious corrections to your review: Alot of people have told me that because I go to Rio Grande I am not as smart as other people or wont (won't) be succesful (successful). But they are wrong. They have really good AP classes, theenivornment (the environment) is very nice. As for sports they they (only 1 'they' is necessary) have good teams and the dance and cheer do vey well.
