My daughter transitioned to Renaissance in the 4th grade after spending her early years in APS. The difference is night and day. She was not receiving individual support until we made the change, and the results are obvious in her test scores and attitude towards school. She used to dread school, but we haven't had a single difficult morning since the move. The homework load is reasonable, allowing our family to focus on extracurricular activities in the evenings. Our family looks forward to her attending Renaissance for middle school, as we have heard from other parents that the daily schedule is much less taxing than the 6-7 classes their daughter grinds through every day in APS. If you are thinking about making the switch, schedule a tour with the principal, who took the time to discuss the program with us individually before we enrolled.

After feeling extremely frustrated with my daughters elementary school education. We decided to home school her until we took a tour of Southwest Learning Center. Just looking around you get the feel that the atmosphere alone speaks of success in academics. You know, without a doubt, greatness is achieved here. Our daughter got called in mid year for her 6th grade year and absolutely FLOURISHED. Her grades were always barely passing and she finished the year with ALL A's! Not only is she learning and retaining what she has learned well, our formerly shy child has opened up and joined the poetry out loud event and the talent show! Where she was encouraged and supported by both staff and classmates! We are truly thankful for the wonderful difference Southwest Primary Learning center made in ALL of our lives.
