My children have attended for a total of ) years due to the location and ease of their grandparents to support our families to pick them up when we are still occupied at work.
Low test scores, teachers talking negatively about having to be present; some fantastic teachers, but the majority are rude to parents and exhibit bullying behaviors.
I will need to locate another school and change my work schedule dynamics because of ongoing issues that do not get resolved.

Both of my kids attended Chamiza and loved it. The quality of their educational experience was great. My daughter had great teachers each year there except for the fourth grade, and my son had great teachers each year there except for the first year. Overall, it was a great school for them. One thing I detested was some employee of the school reporting my family to CYFD for suspected child abuse. After a thorough investigation and visit to my home, the case worker said that the claim was completely unfounded and apologized that it was ever made. Clearly someone at Chamiza could have at least attempted to reach out and communicate with us directly but failed to do so. I don't think one rogue employee overshadowed all of the excellent teachers and staff that supported my kids at Chamiza.

this school is wonderful, safe, and has the best teachers. my daughter had mary kay brudos and she is a hands on teacher and recognized that all children do not learn the same. she gave me insight into my daughter and nurtured her. my daughter's confidence level went through the roof. i could not have asked for a better experience.

I have two doughters and both attended Chamiza Elementary. The teachers were so good to one of my doughters assisting her on achiving her goals to graduate. My doughter had a learning disability and by providing all the assistant she was able to write and read. The Special Ed classes during her years at the school were very dificult for us and the school as well. My doughter was able to graduate from high school and also attended collage. With out the school assistance and the teachers devoted attention to students with some disabilities , the student never will be a very funtional and active member of the community. I commend the school for a job well done with students that face learning disabilities.
