Very caring facility and staff. We feel very comfortable and secure leaving our children in their care. We are very thankful for all they do.

My children love Covenant and their teachers love them just as much. Such a caring, understanding and fun preschool. My son was definitely prepared for Kindergarten after the education he received at Covenant. A perfect balance of education and fun. The staff communicates throughout the day with the parents. Highly recommend this preschool.

Covenant Schools has an amazing staff and even better safety procedures at both locations. They take the safety, cleanliness, and faith-based education of each child very seriously. I am confident that all the children receive the highest level of care. The food menus are updated monthly and the information on the website is constantly being reviewed and updated.

The Executive Director, while a nice person, didn't seem to have much direction when up against children with special needs. When she did come up with a plan it was only implemented for a short time. then we would be brought in again to discuss behavioral issues after the school didn't continuously follow through with their own plan creating inconsistencies and confusion for the child. She also was very difficult to get a hold of and was rarely at the school.

I would not recommend this facility to any parents. It was a toxic environment for my child where he experienced multiple traumatic incidents that created behavioral issues that we have been combating since we left in December 2018.

Earlier this year I had to look for child care on the fly! It was a nightmare to say the least. I toured almost every daycare in Albuquerque. Coming from a law enforcement back ground, I am always protective. I was happy to find Covenant and knew immediately that's where we belonged. Some of their many strong points are; Cleanliness, secure, communicate (Brightwheel, which they actually use almost every few hours!), kind, loving towards the kids...
In particular, Joy (the Director) is top notch. On our first week she personally called me to let me know my daughter was doing okay. They genuinely care about their family's. I cant speak higher of Covenant Del Norte.

We couldn't be more pleased with covenant. We have been sending our children for about 2 1/2 years now and have always felt our children were safe and well cared for. Their curriculum is great and my children love to go to school and learn. My son has a peanut allergy and that was a huge concern for us when choosing a day care. All of the food is provided and that was a big plus for us. The meals and snacks are healthy and well balanced and my children eat things that they would never touch at home. I have loved all of the staff especially my kids teachers. I recommend Covenant to all my family and friends.

I don't know how many parents will read this review, but I hope it gives a different light on what really goes on in the school. Before Ms. Joy took over the school I would have given this school a positive review, but since she has become the director the school, Covenant has gone down. The school use to welcome parents being involved in with their child's education, but this is not the case. I found Ms. Joy to not want parents involvement at all. On top of it she was never there. When we would drop off the kids in the morning and would want to talk to her we would be told by the front office that she was not in. When asked when she would be in, we were told they did not know. I would try calling through out the day and most of the time was told that she was not there. They would finally take a message and text her to call me. Then there were days when I would want to get a hold of her so I would send an email and if I was lucky I would get a response within the week. My question to a future parent thinking of sending you child to Covenant, how do you run a school if you are never there? The other issue with all of this, if you wanted to complain about the situation good luck with that because her father, Paul, happens to be the CEO of the school and would always take her side and tell the parents that it was our miss understanding. These went on for 2 years and finally my husband and I decided to remove our children from the school. There are much better environments for children to flourish and where it is a partnership with the parents and the school, it is just sad that Covenant del Norte is no longer one of those places.

My son attended Covenant until he was 4 years old (2013-2017) then we had to pull him out and send him to a different school because the environment at Covenant became too toxic. He had issues with another little boy continually hitting, biting, and tripping him. It seemed that once a week we were signing an incident report. We finally told the director that we were going to teach him to fight back. The response from the director, I know this wont bring much ease but the boy will be leaving in a few weeks to kindergarten, so we dont want to do anything too drastic. The communication between the teachers and administration was horrible. The teachers would tell us one story and the director would tell us another. Any communication to the parents was to communicate the negative but the positive would get brushed off. Our son moved to the 3 year old class mid-year. When the new year began, he was bored and causing trouble. The director chose to ignore what was happening and instead began reporting to us all the bad. We had to demand that he move to the 4 year old class. After the move he did great. These are just some examples of how this school operates.

In late 2015 or early 2016 ish the director Carol abruptly retired and the CEOs daughter, Joy Losey, took over the director position at the del Norte location. When you read the previous reviews, look closely at the date they were posted. You will find that the good reviews were posted when Carol was the director and then only bad reviews for Joy. You can also be sure that Covenant will request parents post positive reviews to counter the negative reviews so watch for the block of dates of the reviews, and make an informed decision. Covenant was a wonderful school that I hoped my children would attend until kindergarten, but with the current administration, Im glad we decided to leave. BEWARE!

Covenant School is a great school as long as your child remains healthy. Our child became ill with a very treatable condition and Covenant School refused to give our child his necessary medication, even though they give medication to other children. This put our childs health and safety at risk. The CEO Paul Losey and director Joy Losey (who are father and daughter), refused to follow the directions that our sons doctor had outlined for him. Covenant School claims to be a Christian school but is discriminating against a child. Our child has been indirectly forced to leave the school because of an illness that he did not ask for. We do not believe that this is a Christian value. Our child is being discriminated against because he is not whole. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7:15 KJV
