Unfair treatment and very Bias. Horrendous bullying, when something is said nothing is done. Do not teach you but instead hand you a computer and tell you to do it yourself, the program they use is not easy to understand in the slightest.

I have two children who attend this school, one is very self motivated and doing well and the other not so much. I do not blame the school though. There are clear expectations and self discipline is required to keep up with the curriculum. The teachers have been very supportive. I personally am the type of parent that is involved in all that my children do. My children are being held accountable for what they do, or do not do when it comes to assignments completed. Any time I have questions or concerns the staff has been more than helpful. I do take the time to monitor my children's progress and push them to keep on track. They have made wonderful friends and learned responsibility, they are also becoming self disciplined. This school will not pass a student to keep them moving along. They really have to work and earn their grades. The support at school is there, but it also requires support from home. The tools to succeed are provided, but in all reality it's on the student to use the available resources to keep up and succeed. And being involved at home as a parent makes a huge difference.

If your child is neurotypical and self-motivated, this school may work for them. Most of the academics is "taught" via Edgenuity, and there is little leeway in accommodating learning differences. Students are expected to put in 25-35 hrs/wk on Edgenuity in addition to class time. Supposedly the teachers have the ability to make adjustments, but they either don't or don't believe they do as they just refer students to school admin who then either refer the student back to the teacher or simply say "no". For example, unit pre-tests/assessments are not available unless a student is retaking a course and previously achieved enough credit to take the class as "credit recovery". There is no way to skip or fast forward the videos and go straight to the actual work. The History and Science teachers were good at class engagement and more willing to try to make accommodations, but they're still bound by the limitations of Edgenuity. Edgenuity is ok is a students needs to make up one or two classes for credit, but it sucks as a whole school curriculum.

Not a safe environment for children. Students constantly are bullied when defending themselves they are punished equivalent to the bully. Administration also doesnt investigate issues and present honest evaluation of conflicts to parents even upon teacher witness consequences are based upon IEPs and fear of optics. The administration believes that mediocre school environment is adequate and doesnt strive to set anything more than sub -average standards and expectations as expressed by the principal. This school disguises its Charter as aviation etc , but is just a school for troubled youth. Beware! The 5 stars are from employees
