Since the very beginning weve had problems at this school. Teachers were very helpful on their part. My son struggled with bullies time after time and didnt get any support whatsoever. He started getting Anxious and not feeling safe because of the way staff, assistant principal and principal handled things. Assistant principal is not patient AT ALL. Does not enjoy her job working with children. Instead of working with the children who may need extra support, they push for therapy and counseling instead of helping. My son was fine before attending this school. 100% do not recommend this school.

Disappointed in the Leadership
As a parent, Im very disappointed with the way this principal handles situations. She tends to be overly dramatic and turns small issues into big scenes, often in front of students and staff. Instead of creating a calm and respectful environment, her reactions make the school feel tense and uncomfortable. I want my child to learn in a supportive place, not one where the principal constantly makes everything about herself. I hope the district takes notice and provides better leadership in the future.

Over my three years at Harrison Middle School, I've noticed that the teachers really do care about our well being and really do try to help out in any way possibly, but there really is a problem with the principles at the school. They aren't very involved with the teachers and don't do much to make sure our school is great. It seems like they were forced to work here and don't really care to make sure we succeed.

The reports about this school being any kind of good are fake. This school is terrible, both of my daughters are gifted and have had nothing but problems at this school. One of then dropped out of extra curricular's all together and the others grades have dramatically dropped. I have tried to get the second evaluated for problems she may be having and the principle had been absolutely no help. The comment about the kids running all over the teachers is true. If your kids are falling behind for any reason the teachers care but the leadership does not. The teachers honestly do try to help kids. Mrs. Best and Mr. Morgan are incredible but the leadership at this school should be fired. Most of the teachers you run across truly want to help the kids here but their hands are tied by the leadership and no support. I am in the position now to home school and I honestly think that this is the only choice I have for my child to succeed in our situation.

i love this school because teachers are great with the students love the people and the food surprisingly :)

I do not recommend this school. There is a huge drug and gang problem here. And the curriculum is very poor, and not very challenging, but they did have an average sports program. My daughter only attended this school for one year and I transferred her out.

Scores are very low overall, we came from A-rated schools in both CO and FL, very shocked at lack of improvement in last 3 years. Some teachers have shown inappropriate behavior/attitude in front of students, pricipal is very quick to address these issues though.
