The only good thing about this school is their after school program, This school treated my son horrible. My child was having a hard time adjusting to kindergarten. If your baby has ADHD or is autistic I highly recommend not enrolling them in this school. They label them as "bad kids" and will put your kids in holds and call threat control on a 6 YEAR OLD ! this place is horrible. My son is attending a new school now with ZERO issues ! Thank God!

As a parent, I enjoy knowing my kids are cared for at our school. Their experience at John Baker has been nothing but positive. They have thrived in their educational journey thanks to the staff.

I enrolled my son at this school because his friend from daycare was attending here and they were placed in the same class (good daycare by the way). I can't remember their mission but it was (since it was everywhere) close to that of "excellence", and their handbook says "Students are expected to treat other students, adults, and school property with respect. John Baker staff will teach school-wide expectations." However, many times over I (the Mom) was disrespected! I wasn't allowed to have a say in ANYTHING. One time when I was in the pick-up line to get my son, I didn't quite pull all the way up to the curb for him to get in the car. They did NOT like that -- telling him to come back after I said "it's ok sweety" and then getting dirty looks from the teachers. Another time I wanted to show up "unannounced" to make sure that he was safe but the office people didn't like that and threatened to call the cops (when I'm the only parent and have all rights to my child). Another time, a parent complained to me that one of the "lunch monitors" would be so mean to them while they were eating. Lastly, his teacher apparently had no experience in teaching children since my son complained of her yelling at him; and because of the lack of proper learning he ended up to having to repeat a grade. This is only a few instances of problems here!
The only good thing that John Baker had to offer was not the school but the SEPARATE after school care program "Children's Choice." I had to vent my frustrations with the school to the head of the program and he was supportive.
I do not recommend this school!

We transferred our child to this school because the school in our area had a bad rating and reputation. Overall I am very happy with the teachers here because they communicate very well, are dedicated to the children, and there is a lot of parental involvement at this school. As always there are teachers you want to avoid (Mrs. Martinez) but over the 5 years my child has been attending this school I couldn't be happier.

Love it love it love it, better than private school, the staff, the curriculum, the test scores, the children are thriving and learning, and are well-prepared for middle school. This is the best place you can send your kiddos! Parent involvement is spectacular, I knew the previous principal, and the present one is equally fabulous, supports the staff and listens to parents, they all work together and make it wonderful for all. One overjoyed parent.
