Our daughter started attending St. Therese for 6th grade in the Fall of 2024 after our family relocated to Albuquerque. We were looking for a more close-knit and protective school environment. It is very much a caring, family-oriented, faith-based atmosphere. I love the positivity in the communications to families from the school staff, such as the weekly e-mail newsletter. The middle-school students live out their faith by serving as Mass (which is weekly) and reading-time "buddies" for the Pre-K and Kindergarten students. The school has also made great efforts to increase after-school activities, especially in STEM and music, offering programs from the Explora science museum and piano/guitar lessons after school. The drop-in before and after school care is very helpful for working parents. Tuition is also lower than most Catholic schools in the area. I feel that our family has a great relationship with the principal, teachers, and office staff. We truly love this school for so many reasons. The teachers and staff are outstandingdedicated, caring, and always supportive of the students. The principal is approachable and often seen smiling during drop-off and pick-up, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both parents and children. One of the things we appreciate most is the schools strong emphasis on faith, with regular Holy Mass on Thursdays and Sunday school Mass that help instill strong values in the students. The pastor is also very supportive and actively involved in the school community, which further strengthens the spiritual foundation. On top of all this, the school offers the lowest tuition fees in the area, making it an affordable option without compromising quality. Overall, its a nurturing, faith-filled environment where our children are thriving.

This school has had some truly wonderful teachers. Kind, committed, supportive and great with the kids. But unfortunately, strong teachers cant make up for weak leadership. The principal is consistently unresponsive; I made multiple attempts to reach out about important issues and never once received a call back. That lack of communication and follow-through has been incredibly frustrating.

Teacher turnover is high, and its hard not to see why. When leadership doesnt support or value staff, the best ones leave. Many left this year.

As for the parish leadership, the priest seems more focused on being seen than being present in the ways that actually matter. He rarely misses an opportunity to be in front of a camera, or to talk about himself but that energy doesnt translate into meaningful involvement in the school. Theres a lot of focus on appearances, but very little on substance.

Weve decided to pull our kids. Its disappointing, but we cant continue in an environment that feels unstable, superficial, and unwilling to engage with parent concerns. As much as weve loved some of the teachers, we cant recommend this school in its current state.

We will continue to pray for the St. Therese community.

All my grandkids have attended St Therese and I have had as well as my grandkids a positive elementary and mid school experience. They received a great foundation. Teachers and staff have always been available and attentive to our needs.

Dr. Inocian, our principal has really stepped up and done a lot for our school and it shows. My kid learns so much each year. Weve been here now 4 years.

Great teachers, small class sizes, and a kind staff create a supportive environment. However, communication could be better, and family involvement would be nice. Ever since COVID-19, schools seem closed off to families. There aren't many fun after-school activities for kids except for sports for the older kids. It's a solid school but has room for improvement.

The teachers at this school are fantasticdedicated, caring, and genuinely invested in their students success. They are the only reason this review isnt lower. Unfortunately, the new administration prioritizes fundraising over communication, school safety, and overall student well-being. Concerns from parents and staff often go unheard, and important decisions are made with little to no transparency. Its disappointing to see such an amazing teaching staff not getting the support they deserve.

My daughter has gone to school here since preK. I love the small class size, one on one attention, and parent/teacher communication. The school supports an open door policy and strongly supports parent involvement. Wouldn't trade this school for the world!

St. Therese is a great school. My daughter is doing really well and the school is very family oriented. She is in a small class and gets a lot of attention that I would not find at any other school.

St. Therese Catholic School has been wonderful for our child. We have been at St. Therese for a couple of years and have found that the school is rigorous academically, the teachers are attentive, caring and above all, very knowledgeable in the subject matter that they teach, as well as show Catholic values. I am proud to call St. Therese our school!

St. Therese School provided an excellent education for my daughter. We moved from out of state and were afraid it would be a hard transition. The students welcomed her and made her feel like family. She did very well and went on to St. Pius X high School where she continues to excel academically and spiritually. Small school, caring teachers and challenging curriculum.

St. Therese Catholic School has been under tremendous changes over the last few years and because of this it does hinder the learning environment. Our child's math and reading scores were below grade level. Several times thoughout the year substitute teachers were brought in because full-time staff were pulled to take on other administrative tasks. A lot of fundraising!!!
