Toxic leadership. The administrator is on a major power trip and has always been. Basically, if your child doesn’t believe what he believes or abide by the school handbook in AND OUT of school, they will get told that they aren’t Christian and how they are going to hell. Full of empty promises. They’ve been talking about building a gym for 50 years and never have, there’s no competitive sports. Basically, no way for your child to excel and be prepared for the world. I basically wasted a few years of my kids lives by sending them here before I realized what a sad institution this is. The school can’t afford to pay for anything. So, don’t expect them to accommodate your child. It’s just slowly dying over the years. Went from about 150 kids to 25 kids in 10 years. People are still leaving and rightly so. Please just don’t waste your time.

This is a great (though struggling) school. Like all schools, they have their issues, but they're not nearly as bad as recent reviews make them seem. As with any school, I would advise those considering VCS to actually visit. No school can be a good fit for all students/parents/teachers and it's hard to tell if a school will work for you if you never visit.

Elementary has less than 30 min of homework a night unless the student was super slow during the day and didn't finish. Not sure about High School yet.

All the teachers here love the kids and do their best to make sure they are learning, even taking time before/after school to help struggling kids.

Teachers do their best to address the root cause and not just the behavior. Students are encouraged to include everyone.

I know of at least two students who came to VCS because their previous school was not addressing learning difference issues. Both have stayed for several years now.

Although one cannot correct what one doesn't know about, the teachers and leadership address all issues of bullying as soon as it is brought to their attention. Recess is actively supervised and students are not allowed to linger in the halls or any unsupervised rooms.

They are oblivious. They try to ignore that their little school isn’t perfect. Real world situations require actual confrontations not just “prayer.”

Overall, this school is the worst school I've ever been in. I've been in 4 other schools, and they've all been 100 times better than this.
This school gave me actual, genuine depression.
Don't send your kids here.

The school wants the kids to know the Lord 1st! Then they find teachers to help the students be prepared for the future. The environment there works to be a family to let Staff and students know they are cared for.

I know the Staff works hard to stop bulling, but I also know kids are kids and they seem to find a way to express their feeling. I do agree the Staff when approached with the issue...they do work with the students first and parents next to work out the issue.

I agree with this because of the way they show how EACH student is important. There was a student who wanted to be a future swimmer, and we did not have that program. But the school board looked for a school that would take our swimmer in to their group. I talked to her when the season was over and she was happy to have had the chance to compete. When there is a learning disability, the Staff looks for a way to help the student even if it means the student would have to stay late after school to be tutored.

When I first went to the school, the Staff there let me know that my children were important to them and they would do what they could to help them be ready for the future. For example...When my son was in the 10th grade a new program was being introduced to any High school to compete with college students in Science class. My son with a friend showed they were as good as college students, and were rewarded for it. Because VCS and parents, together help these boys be confident in what they did in this event. They felt confident to face the future.

The School Leaders take time to be with the students at rest time, sports time, teaching times to know their students. The Staff wants the students to how to live and take care of others as they want to be treated.

The school board takes time to find the teachers who went to college to be teachers and have a heart to teach.

They give the students a choice to do their homework. with consequences if they choose not to. Also have tutors to help those who don't understand the book work.

Victory Christian School is a great place for your child to learn. It is a K-12 school that cares about each and every one of its students. The student to teacher ratio is very small which allows for students to get extra help when needed. It offers a positive Christian environment which will last with your student forever.

Victory Christian School did prepare our granddaughter for the "real" world. The school is small enough to give students an opportunity to participate in sports, drama and choir performances. A Biblical background is an integral part of a solid academic curriculum.

Victory Christian School has changed my whole family! It has been the best change since excepting Christ. My three children attend and they are growing in their relationships with the Lord daily. The academics are way above the public school system. My children had to catch up with the other students when they first arrived. The small class size has given my children almost one on one attention. The staff is very dedicated to their students learning and spiritual growth. I recommend VCS to every family!

Integrity is taught not only in the classroom but lived out by the staff. Integrity is part of the character scale that is worked on by each student. It is discussed at parent teacher conferences.

I spoke with an administrator there about enrolling my child and the pretentiousness in which I was treated with was appalling, considering the complete ineptness of the staff and teachers. I guess this school uses the high society approach to attracting new prospects without adding any value whatsoever. I was smart enough to see through their scam, so my child will be attending a higher quality institution that actually offers real education.

Honestly I received a wonderful education here. I also had a few outstanding teachers. As long as you fit into a certain "look" you won't have a problem, otherwise I find other staff there very hypocritical and judgemental. Speaking in part due to past run ins with staff.
