The new principal is wonderful. He takes the time to greet students and parents. He encourages parents to be involved with their children’s education.

The kids both in 5th great really like this school and their teachers; however, overall they seem to be very low on academics and maybe teaching to the middle rather than demanding excellence. After 40 years in the classroom, I feel that you get what you demand . The kids little psyche are better rewarded by accomplishments than Pat's on the head for "trying".

If I had to chose a school for my children it would not be this one. There are some great staff but when it comes to academics there is no real set learning that children do. It is up to the teacher. One of my children never learned cursive and now struggles to read it.
