The school therapist has talked to both my kids about self harm but my 12 year old is I guess more important then my oldest. I feel this way because my 12 year old missed one day of school. She and I over slept, I was up until 2am taking care of my special needs child so she missed the bus. I was thinking about not taking her anyways because she had a therapist appointment at Dayton Children's. The school therapist had called me before I even was awake and left a message at 8:21am saying that she was checking on my child and that my child had wrote down about self harm and starving herself so she was just worried and she "THINKS" my child had told her that she has a therapist appointment at Dayton children's today but she "wasnt sure". I wake up, see theres a message listen to it and the next thing I know her and a sheriff is walking down my driveway told her I didnt even have time to wake up and call her my 12 year old was asleep after they left I wont her up to talk to her and she said she never wrote anything like that. This never happened with my other child but they did tell my oldest how they like the drama. Oh and all my 12 year olds therapy notes are about bullying!! So she in therapy because of this school. NOTHING BEING DONE!!

I disagree because they let the students fall so far behind that they can't get caught up. And then blame the student for not doing what they're suppose to be doing.

I think they're doing all they can but could be a little better.

All the staff just short of about 2-3 have been very rude and treat parents as if they're the stupid ones. They don't explain things very well and expect the parents to know everything.

I disagree with this because if the teachers are sending homework home then they need to at least attempt to teach the kids something about the homework they're sending home.

The teachers are very rude. Not only to students but parents as well.

In order to teach the children character, integrity, compassion and respect you have to possess those qualities yourself and not one of the teachers have any of those qualities.

My child is a good student that attends her classes daily and does not give any of her teachers a reason to discipline her in any way.

Two of my children currently attend Greenon High School. I think the school is average to good with it's academic standards following the Ohio standards. While I feel that certain teachers and staff go above and beyond, I notice that others do the least possible. I have a real issue with the schools policy on cell phone use during school, however, after researching other area schools found that it is a issue everywhere. Both of my children get good grades in school which shows to me that the teachers are doing an appropriate job. I do, however, provide a lot of outside assistance as needed with homework and encouragement. I am also in regular contact with the teachers and staff to ensure that I am aware of what is going on. I think all schools have pros and cons and that how involved the parents are is a big indicator in the childs success no matter where they go. As long as you are an involved parent and willing to take the time and effort to communicate, your kids will do well in this school. The school does the best they can given the resources available to them.

Very low quality. Transfered out of this district as soon as possible. Very small school, with not a lot of opportunites. Education and academics are okay, but instructors and teachers not exactly the best. The administration is very unprofessional on numerous occasions. Look into this school carefully before attending.

I grew up in this school district and I am proud of it. It is safe, very few drugs. Very few problems and I feel like it made me a GREAT person. Greenon High School is NOT a rich community but it is rich with morals, and personality. Most the kids that come out of this school are great people. They build strong families and they all have life long friends. The school it's self could use a face lift yes. The school could use some more funding and a few teachers need to retire. The school in general though is wonderful. Safe. Wholesome and a great place for learning with little to no discipline issues. I am REALLY GLAD that my parents, Myself and my children will attend this school.
