A Disheartening Experience for Active Boys with ADHD
I want to share my experience with St. Peter to help other parents who may be considering this school for their children, particularly those with ADHD or behavioral challenges.
Unfortunately, our time at St. Peter was disappointing and frustrating. The school seems to lack an understanding of how to support active boys, especially those with ADHD. Instead of recognizing the unique needs and potential of these students, the approach often feels more punitive than supportive. Boys who struggle with focus or impulsivity are too quickly labeled as "bad" or "troublesome," rather than being seen for who they arebright, energetic kids who just need different kinds of support. Given this is a Catholic school that should be teaching love, compassion and empathy through role modeling those actions, St. Peter's did anything but that for my son. Its clear that there is little knowledge or willingness to employ strategies that could help these children thrive. Rather than focusing on personalized teaching methods, accommodations, or behavioral interventions, the school seems to take a one-size-fits-all approach that doesn't work for every child.
Once I pulled my son and put him in public school he thrived emotionally, although he still has academic struggles do to loack of focus and executive function, I know now that he will grow into a functioning adult that will be have a postive impact on his community. Something that would not have happened if I kept him in the sole crushing environment of St. Peter's.

My daughter went for 1 year of preschool and is now in kindergarten and she has been taught alot. The preschool really started the process of learning how to read now she reads pretty well for her age. She knows her address, how to count to 100, her phone number and so much more. They teach the kids a lot and in my opinion they do pay attention to the kids, at least Mrs. Fig does, she is a great preschool teacher. In kindergarten Mrs. Trick is teaching her things even i do not know about animals, science etc. Their curriculum seems a little advanced to me, but since my daughter is pretty smart and also went to their preschool she can keep up. My son start going to St Peter when he as in kindergarten YEARS ago and since he did not start in their preschool he wasn't able to keep up so i can to pull him out because like i said they are little advanced in the curriculum and i love that they teach the kids about God. Its been a wonderful experience this time around for my daughter.

My child attended preschool here, and while the program as a whole was pretty great - the second year she attended was awful. She was potty shamed several times, which resulted in lots of accidents and crying spouts because of a particular teacher screaming at her/not allowing her to go to the restroom.

The preschool program is great if you can avoid the teacher who belittles your child that has nervous bathroom issues.

The children are expected to behave and poor behavior is not tolerated.

I did not experience the leadership while part of the preschool.

The Early Childhood Center (preschool) is amazing and totally worth the money. I do not regret sending my child there for 2 years of preschool. I knew he was in good hands and that his teachers truly cared about him and his fellow classmates. I highly recommend their preschool program.

I am unhappy to say that my experience was very different from the other reviewers. First off, I have 10 years of experience as a preschool teacher myself and was a Director of a preschool in another state prior to having children. I am disappointed overall with St Peter. My biggest complaint was that the children did not seem matter to them at all. My child was forgotten or left out of things. Assistance with tasks (like pulling up pants after the potty) was terrible. Every day my son came home with his underwear bunched up around his waist! Communication was severely lacking. Parent participation was not very encouraged and when you did volunteer you felt out of place because you never knew what was going on. We will definitely not be returning next year.
