The teachers at this school seem wonderful. The school feels understaffed compared to the number of students it serves and the rooms are overcrowded. My child has almost thirty kids in their room, which is counterproductive to learning, considering the teachers do not have aides. So that is one teacher trying to teach 30 kids with a lot of different needs. They also only have one recess a day, which is 10 minutes long, and no playground equipment. Just a parking lot to play in. That is not enough time for play. Recess is also frequently taken away as punishment, so some kids don't really get to play. I get it's a Catholic school, but really? They're kids. They're going to make some mistakes and taking the only 10 minutes they have to relax seems harsh.
I never really get to see work, just grades on the report card. Their is a ton of pressure on kids to test high on map test and lots of pressure for good test scores. My oldest child is in tears over the testing pressure. They handed out worksheets this year with their previous test scores on it to help the kids try and "beat" that score. It is a LOT of pressure. My guess is funding is tied to these scores? I'm not sure. Just a LOT of pressure on test scores and my child feels like a walking number.
Overall- the school feels like it's less focused on child development and more focused on how many kids they can cram into a classroom and how high they can score on a test. I plan to pull my children and find a better school that is more child-focused.

The teachers are the biggest bullies there

No, they is no fun learning at this school. Everything is preached

The teachers are nonresponsive to the students needs or understanding. Short tempered and one sided.

The school is far for versatile. Everyone should think like them

It's the blind leading the blind. No order

The worst school my kids have ever attended. My son was violently physically harassed by a 7th grade teacher. I was naive and thought the school would deal with the incident in an appropriate manner. However, I was surprised when I didn't go to the authorities the blame came back on my son. We were treated like the enemy. The principal wanted at all costs we leave! When he realized we weren't going to they started problems with my younger son (whom hadn't had any problems up until this point). We have suffered greatly at the hands of Immaculte, to the point my son is going to counselor on a weekly basis. Parents beware, at one time this was a good Catholic school but times have changed. These are the people supposed to be paving the path for our children! My children are scarred from our experience at this school.

This school went downhill after Karen Hecker left. The only positive is that Linda Phillips is no longer there. The best thing I did was pull my son from this school. He spent 4 years there.

I would NEVER recommend this school. Too many people leave disgruntled. Parent participation is essential for a school to succeed. Where are the parents?

This school and its current principal came highly recommended to me. I toured the school and spent quite a bit of time talking with the principal. She is an exceptionally talented educator and administrator, and I was also impressed by her candor and practicality. I would feel quite comfortable sending my children here, though we may not get in due to a wait list in our needed grades.

The principal of this school is non conforming to the school's own handbook policies. The academics are less than what a Catholic school's should be. The loss of more than 10 children and six teachers should be a serious warning for anyone looking for a quality school
