I absolutely love EE! My daughter has been at this school since kindergarten and she is now in 4th grade. The teachers truly care about the students individually and wants to help them. It seems like every teacher genuinely loves what they do. This includes the Kleptz teachers as well..I have children at both schools. My 4th grader struggled with her reading for almost 2 school years but they never gave up on her. They have a great program that helped boost her confidence and strengthened her reading and comprehension. She is now reading above her grade level which is amazing. I also like how they don't teach every child on the same level in the classes literally no child is left behind. They take time to put the children in study groups to help strengthen areas they're kind of struggling with or isn't as strong in... Mr. Johnston is great.(the principal) He interacts with the kids, greets them every morning in front of the building and comes out to see them off when it's the end of the day! It's so amazing how he knows so many of the students by name..and it's not because they're always in his office lol. It's because he takes an interest in all of his students at his school!Genuinely nice staff and great school! Never have heard of bullying or any issues at this school. I absolutely am grafteful and so glad EE/northmont is where my children are learning and growing up at.

This school is a gem. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the music program.....or lack of one. The kids do have music, but the songs are very basic (and repetitive from year to year) and in the 4 years that my daughter has been going, there has NEVER been a music concert of any kind. The teachers are superb and my daughter loves them! She has thrived at this school. The office secretaries can come off as unfriendly sometimes, but I can overlook that. We are moving after this school year and will miss EE very much.

I recently had a chance to speak with the new superintendant. She stated that in all her years working as a superintendant, she was amazed at the amount of dedication that the faculty has to all their students in the Northmont school district. And I have to agree. At Englewood Elementary they deserve a 6 star rating!

Love the gifted child program here. My daughter was bored in her regular elementary classes. Even though she was making straight A's, she was tired of hearing the teacher review things over and over again that she understood quickly the first time. In this school, she can leave the classroom while the other children review. She can be with other gifted children like herself and they get to work on projects of their own. It's great!!!
